MSI K7N2 DELTA-L vs ASROCK K7S8XE+ - THE REMATCH

"MSI K7N2 DELTA-L vs ASROCK K7S8XE+ rematch using software such as SiSoftware Sandra 2004, 3dmark 2001 SE, 3dmark 2003, Glxcess, Doom 3, Serious Sam SE, UT2004, Comanche4, Desert Rats vs Afrika Korps, Far Cry, Haegemonia, Painkiller, Unreal 2 and X2 The Threat."

NFORCE2 vs SIS748

"We originally reviewed the two motherboards used in this review in the MSI K7N2 Delta-L motherboard review, in that review the MSI K7N2 offered better performance than the ASROCK K7S8XE+. With the release of the 1.91a performance bios for the ASROCK K7S8XE+ motherboard we felt that a rematch was called for. We are also using dual channel for the MSI K7N2 motherboard unlike in the original review when we used single channel. The ASROCK K7S8XE+ has no support for dual channel so please bare this in mind when viewing the results. Another difference is the amount of software we have used for testing. in the original review we used a total of 9 different software titles. In this rematch we have used a total of 14 different titles both new and old to show real performance."

COMMENT - "The MSI K7N2 Delta-L puts in a great performance with 3dmark 2001 SE, it finishs 9% clear of the ASROCK K7S8XE+. However using 3dmark 2003 the MSI K7N2 Delta-L can only deliver a 4% increase over the ASROCK K7S8XE+.
