MSI K7N2 DELTA-L vs ASROCK K7S8XE+ - THE REMATCH
"MSI K7N2 DELTA-L vs ASROCK K7S8XE+ rematch using software such as SiSoftware Sandra 2004, 3dmark 2001 SE, 3dmark 2003, Glxcess, Doom 3, Serious Sam SE, UT2004, Comanche4, Desert Rats vs Afrika Korps, Far Cry, Haegemonia, Painkiller, Unreal 2 and X2 The Threat."

"We originally reviewed the two motherboards used in this review in the MSI K7N2 Delta-L motherboard review, in that review the MSI K7N2 offered better performance than the Asrock K7S8XE+. With the release of the 1.91a performance bios for the Asrock K7S8XE+ motherboard we felt that a rematch was called for. We are also using dual channel for the MSI K7N2 motherboard unlike in the original review when we used single channel. The Asrock K7S8XE+ has no support for dual channel so please bare this in mind when viewing the results. Another difference is the amount of software we have used for testing. in the original review we used a total of 9 different software titles. In this rematch we have used a total of 14 different titles both new and old to show real performance."

COMMENT - "The MSI K7N2 Delta-L wins Comanche4 by 4%, Desert Rats vs Afrika Korps by 15%, Far Cry by 8%, Painkiller by 2%, Unreal 2 by 5% and X2 the Threat by 2%. The only victory for the Asrock K7S8XE+ was with the stratgey game Haegemonia - Legions of Iron which it won by 2%. If you remember from earlier in the review the Asrock K7S8XE+ had the highest cpu speed which is probably the reason for the victory."

COMMENT - "The MSI K7N2 Delta-L wins this MSI K7N2 DELTA-L vs ASROCK K7S8XE+ REMATCH but only by 5% against the Asrock K7S8XE+ using the 1.91a performance bios and 9% against the Asrock K7S8XE+ using the official 1.90 bios."
CONCLUSION - "The MSI K7N2 Delta-L is 9% faster than the Asrock K7S8XE+ with the official bios but only 5% faster when the Asrock K7S8XE+ is using the beta performance bios. The MSI K7N2 Delta-L won most of the benchmarks but the Asrock K7S8XE+ was usually close behind and when you consider the price difference (also note that the MSI K7N2 Delta-L was using dual channel and the Asrock K7S8XE+ was using single channel) makes the Asrock K7S8XE+ great value for money."
