Using Desert Rats vs Afrika Korps the AMD Athlon XP 3200 beats the Sempron 2800 by 19% and the Sempron 2800 loses to the Athlon XP 2500 by 5%. Using Far Cry the AMD Athlon XP 3200 beats the Sempron 2800 by 20% and the Sempron 2800 loses to the Athlon XP 2500 by 6%. Using Painkiller the AMD Athlon XP 3200 beats the Sempron 2800 by 12% and the Sempron 2800 loses to the Athlon XP 2500 by 4%. Using Unreal 2 the AMD Athlon XP 3200 beats the Sempron 2800 by 12% and the Sempron 2800 loses to the Athlon XP 2500 by 5%. Using X2 the Threat the AMD Athlon XP 3200 beats the Sempron 2800 by 14% and the Sempron 2800 loses to the Athlon XP 2500 by 2%."

CONCLUSION - "What a surprise, we expected the Athlon XP 3200 to beat the Sempron 2800 but not the slower Athlon XP 2500 as well. The extra 256k L2 cache helped the XP2500 to beat the Sempron 2800 in all of the game benchmarks tested even though it is clocked 200mhz slower."
