As shown in 3dmark 2005 and Rightmark the OCUK ATI Radeon 9700 Pro wipes the floor with the MSI GeForce FX 5900 XT when using DX9 software but here we see the MSI GeForce FX 5900 XT holding it's own in the DX9 Mother Nature. At this time we can't comment on the reason for the sudden DX9 performance increase for the MSI GeForce 5900 XT."

However with multi texturing fillrate the MSI GeForce 5900 XT delivers an extra 11% multi texturing fillrate compared to the OCUK ATI Radeon 9700 Pro."
