COMMENT - "The Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 puts in a good performance against the Gigabyte K8NS Pro and when using dual channel memory it is 2% to 9% faster. When using single channel memory the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 is 3% to 4% faster than the Gigabyte K8NS Pro."

COMMENT - "Quake 4 arrived too late to be used with the Gigabyte K8NS Pro so only single and dual channel memory results for the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 have been included. When using low quality settings dual channel memory increased Quake 4 performance by 5% and when using high quality settings dual channel increased performance by 8%."

COMMENT - "The Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 has a good start when it outperformed the Gigabyte K8NS Pro by 8% when using dual channel memory, however the Gigabyte K8NS Pro outperforms the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 by 3% when using single channel memory. Area51 result should be considered a draw because the two motherboards offer similar performance. Trackmania Sunrise is good result for the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 and it finishes between 2% to 6% faster than the Gigabyte K8NS Pro. Unreal Tournament 2004 is another good result for the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 and it finishes 4% to 7% faster than the Gigabyte K8NS Pro. Xpand Rally continues the good results for the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 and it finishes 5% to 9% faster."

COMMENT - "The Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 when using dual channel memory is 6% faster than the Gigabyte K8NS Pro and when using single channel memory the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 is still 2% faster."

CONCLUSION - "The main advantages the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 has over the Gigabyte K8NS Pro is it's support for dual channel memory, it has a "real" 8x AGP slot unlike most new motherboards and has a PCI Express x16 slot as well. The Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 also has all of the latest features like Sata2, PCI Express and most impressive of all is the Future CPU Slot which will allow you to use future processors like the AMD M2 etc. We found the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 to be easy to install and problem free, it's performance is very good and it's stability is excellent. If your thinking of upgrading then the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 is ideal especially if you own an AGP card!"
