GIGABYTE PCX 5900 SAPPHIRE 9600 XT GAINWARD GF4 Ti4600
COMMENT - "The results start off fairly close with the Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT only 4% faster than the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 with the Gainward Geforce4 Ti4600 further behind by 10%. 3dmark 2003 is also a close result between the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 and Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT, this time the difference is 5% in favour of the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900. The Gainward Geforce4 Ti4600 is a DX8 video card and can't run the high scoring mother nature test. 3dmark 2005 is a DX9 only benchmark which is why there are no results for the Gainward Geforce4 Ti4600. It appears that the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 is pretty weak when running DX9 software and the Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT storms ahead and beats the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 by 58%. Things don't improve with 3dmark 2006 and the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 loses to the Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT by a massive 67%."

COMMENT - "Things are much more positive with these PowerVR benchmarks and the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 beats the Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT by 32%. Fablemark uses alot of shadows and the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 has Ultra Shadow technology which improves it's performance with shadow intensive applications. The Templemark result is so close that I am considering it a draw between the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 and Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT. Villagemark favours the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 and it beats the Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT by 19%."

COMMENT - "The Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT outperforms the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 by 4% with the PS1.1 benchmark. As shown with 3dmark 2005 and 3dmark 2006 the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 is poor with DX9 which is why the Gigabyte Geforce PCX 5900 loses to the Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT by 71% in the PS2.0 test."
