BENCHMARK SETTINGS:- We use three different image quality and resolution settings when we benchmark computer hardware for review. Low quality setting uses a resolution of 1024x768 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to low, this setting will mostly test for processor rather than video performance. Medium quality setting uses a resolution of 1280x1024 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to medium, this setting will test both the processor and video performance. High quality setting uses a resolution of 1600x1200 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to high, this setting is a very demanding test for video rather processor performance!

COMMENT - "The Inno3D GeForce 6200 TC is almost playable but it didn't deliver smooth gameplay even using low quality. Both video cards are unplayable using medium and high quality settings."

CONCLUSION - "The Inno3D GeForce 6200 Turbocache performed very well taking into account it's intended market and budget price. The Inno3D GeForce 6200 Turbocache has most of the advanced features found in the other GeForce6 video cards such as Shader Model 3.0 and Purevideo. The Inno3D GeForce 6200 Turbocache has an interesting feature all of it's own which is Turbocache technology, incase you are unaware what Turbocache is I will explain. Turbocache allows the video card to use sections of the system memory which improves performance. The only GeForce6 feature not supported with the Inno3D GeForce 6200 Turbocache is HDR which is a feature only the most powerful video cards can use anyway. In conclusion the Inno3D GeForce 6200 Turbocache performed better than expected and the XFX GeForce FX 5200 was no competition at all. The Inno3D GeForce 6200 Turbocache is best suited to low quality settings at 800x600 or sometimes at 1024x768 depending on the game!"

"The Gainward Radeon HD 4850 is a pixel shading powerhouse boasting 800 Unified Shaders compared to 320 with the Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 which means that the Gainward Radeon HD 4850 has 60% more shading power. However the Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 is using powerful GDDR4 memory and the Gainward Radeon HD 4850 is using slower GDDR3 memory. Another advantage for the Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 is the 20% higher GPU speed compared to the Radeon HD 4850."

"The MSI GeForce 9600 GT OC has a 15% higher clock speed than the XFX GeForce 8800 GT and 6% higher memory speed. MSI GeForce 9600 GT OC has a Pixel Shading disadvantage with 43% less Pixel Shaders. How will the disadvantage of the 43% less pixel shaders effect performance?"

"The XFX GeForce 8800 GT has a 23% lower clock speed than the Sapphire Radeon HD 3870, 20% less memory speed and the Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 is using fast GDDR4 memory while the XFX GeForce 8800 GT is using GDDR3 memory. The XFX GeForce 8800 GT also has a Pixel Shading disadvantage with 65% less Pixel Shaders."
