BFG GEFORCE 6600 GT OVERCLOCKED PCIE REVIEW
"BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC review featuring XFX Geforce 6600 GT (PCIE), MSI Geforce 6600 GT (AGP), Leadtek Winfast PX6600 (PCIE) with Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 and Athlon64 3000 processor. Benchmark software used:- Nvidia Dawn, Nvidia Dusk, Nvidia Luna, Nvidia Nalu, Shadermark, PowerVR Fablemark, PowerVR Templemark, PowerVR Villagemark and Rightmark."

BFG GEFORCE 6600 GT OC SPECIFICATIONS
The BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC is a PCI Express™ video card running at 525Mhz (vs 500Mhz on a standard Geforce 6600 GT) with 128MB GDDR3 memory running at 1050Mhz (vs 1000Mhz on a standard Geforce 6600 GT), it has a 400Mhz RAMDAC, connectors for Dual DVI-I, HDTV S-Video Out and a massive 16.8GB/second memory bandwidth.
BFG's Overclocked Geforce 6600 GT is the only Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT in this review which is advertised as higher than standard core and memory clock speed. The 25Mhz core and 50Mhz memory clock speed increase will not deliver a huge increase in performance but should give the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC the required speed to beat the other video cards in this review.
The BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC has an eight pipe superscalar design, and features the only GPU in its class that supports Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 Shader Model 3.0. The BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC will support NVIDIA’s SLI™ multi-GPU technology in a PCI Express-based system.

| BENCHMARK SETTINGS:- We use three different image quality and resolution settings when we benchmark computer hardware for review. Low quality setting uses a resolution of 1024x768 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to low, this setting will mostly test for processor rather than video performance. Medium quality setting uses a resolution of 1280x1024 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to medium, this setting will test both the processor and video performance. High quality setting uses a resolution of 1600x1200 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to high, this setting is a very demanding test for video rather processor performance! |

COMMENT - "Let's see by how much the extra speed of the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC improves it's Pixel Shading performance compared to the XFX Geforce 6600 GT and MSI Geforce 6600 GT. Using the basic PS1.1 benchmark the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC delivers 5% more performance compared to the XFX Geforce 6600 GT and 8% more than the MSI Geforce 6600 GT. It's a much closer result when using the PS2.0 benchmark however the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC is still able to outperform the MSI Geforce 6600 GT by 5%."

|
COMMENT - "The Dawn demo is a draw with all three of the Geforce 6600 GT video cards performing the same. The Dusk demo is a slight win of 1fps or 4% for the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC and the Luna demo is a draw between the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC and the XFX Geforce 6600 GT. The Nalu demo is a tiny win for the BFG Geforce 6600 GT OC but 4% or 1fps is not going to really matter."
