GENERAL SYSTEM INFORMATION

COMMENT - "DDR Memory Controller and Memory Bandwidth is especially important with games. The Athlon64 3500 beats the Athlon64 3400 by 8%."

COMMENT - "It appears that not all games require large amounts of memory bandwidth and the Athlon64 3400 beats the Athlon64 3500 by 3%."

COMMENT - "Once again the Athlon64 3500 has the edge and beats the Athlon64 3400 by a very small 2%."

COMMENT - "The Athlon64 3400 is able to outperform the Athlon64 3500 by 2%."

COMMENT - "This is more like it and the Athlon64 3500 is able to outperform the Athlon64 3400 by 10%."

COMMENT - "The performance difference between the Athlon64 3000 and Sempron 3400 is much clearer. Even though the Athlon64 3000 is 200Mhz slower than the Sempron 3400 the Athlon64 3000 has twice the L2 Cache of the Sempron 3400 and DDR Memory Controller which gives the Athlon64 3000 a boost in performance."

COMMENT - "The final result shows that although the Athlon64 3500 is 200Mhz slower than the Athlon64 3400 in some cases the DDR Memory Controller found on the Athlon64 3500 was worth more than 200Mhz. However the result changed with each benchmark program we used, some programs favoured the extra 200Mhz found on the Athlon64 3400 while others favoured the DDR Memory Controller on the Athlon64 3500. Therefore we have to conclude that it was a draw between the Athlon64 3500 and Athlon64 3400!"
