According to information we have recently been sent ATI will unveil the Radeon X1950 Pro and X1650 XT graphics cards in mid October.

The new video cards are expected to feature the new ATI internal CrossFire connector which differs from Nvidia's SLI by placing two connectors on the top of each add in board.

The Radeon x1950 Pro using the RV570 GPU and using the 80nm FAB process has 36 pixel shader engines using 12 pipelines and eight vertex engines. The x1950 Pro is due to be clocked at 580Mhz using GDDR3 memory running at 1.4Ghz using a 256bit memory interface.

The replacement for the x1600 XT will be the x1650 XT using the RV560 core. It is also 80nm but with eight pipelines, 24 pixel shaders, it will be clocked at 600Mhz and the GDDR3 memory will run at 1.4Ghz using a 128bit memory interface.
