| BENCHMARK SETTINGS:- We use two different image quality and resolution settings when we benchmark computer hardware for review. Medium quality setting uses a resolution of 1280x1024 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to medium, this setting will test both the processor and video performance. High quality setting uses a resolution of 1600x1200 (unless otherwise stated) and all of the game settings are set to high, this setting is a very demanding test for video rather processor performance! |

COMMENT - "We start the real synthetic benchmarking with 3dmark 2003 and the Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO outperforms the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO by 14% and the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro by 26%. We have also featured the results for the 3dmark 2003 game benchmarks which clearly show the Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO has a fairly large advantage over the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO and Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro."

COMMENT - "3dmark 2005 is more demanding than the earlier 3dmark 2003 and this is reflected in the almost 50% lower score. However the Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO is more than a match for 3dmark 2005 and the Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO outperforms the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro by 20% and the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO by 24%. It appears that the older technology found on the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO is starting to struggle with the newer 3dmark benchmarks. The Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO also does very well with the 3dmark 2005 game benchmarks beating the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro by between 14% to 25%."
