RADEON 9200 vs GEFORCE5200 REVIEW

GENERAL SYSTEM INFORMATION

COMMENT - "Nvidia has always had excellent OpenGL support so it was no surprise that the GeForce5200 outperformed the Radeon 9200 by 13%."

COMMENT - "The performance difference between the Radeon 9200 and GeForce5200 is much closer with Serious Sam. However the GeForce5200 is still able to outperform the Radeon 9200 by 7%."

COMMENT - "The large performance difference between the GeForce5200 and Radeon 9200 is almost shocking. The GeForce5200 outperforms the Radeon 9200 by a VERY IMPRESSIVE 21%."

CONCLUSION - "The GeForce5200 delivered a big performance advantage over the Radeon 9200 with almost all of the software we used. The Radeon 9200 isn't a slow video card because it delivered performance which was very playable but the GeForce5200 was just faster. Another advantage the GeForce5200 has over the Radeon 9200 is Directx9 support which should make it more future proof. The only worry is that both of the video cards performed badly with the 3dmark 2003 game benchmarks Battle of Proxycon and Troll's Lair. Even though the GeForce5200 was the only video card featured which could use the DX9 Mother Nature test it was far too slow and if it was a game it would be totally unplayable."
