"This is a review of the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT which uses the R580 Core. The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT will be compared to the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro, Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO, Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO and the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro. We have selected a mixture of benchmarks including 3dmark 2005, 3dmark 2006, ATI Double Cross, PowerVR Fable, Rightmark, Shadermark, Doom III, Prey and Quake 4. COMMENT - "The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT puts in a strong performance but the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro is more than up to the challenge and equals the performance of the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT. The Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO is also able to stay within 6% of the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT which is impressive. When using Medium Quality settings the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT is able to pull away from the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro and outperforms it by 13%. The Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO also drops back and the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT outperforms it by 27%. The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT puts in a great performance with Ultra High Quality settings and outperforms the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro by an impressive 27%."

COMMENT - "Prey is a game the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT can show what it can do and it outperforms the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro by 15%. The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT manages to further increase it's performance over the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro firstly by beating it by 26% using High Quality and then by 27% using Ultra High Quality."

COMMENT - "The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT has a hard time beating the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro and can only outperform it by between 2% to 9%. Using Ultra High Quality the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT easily beats the Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO by between 19%, the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO by 50% and the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro by 63%."

COMMENT - "The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT outperforms the Connect3D Radeon x1950 Pro by 10%, the Sapphire Radeon x1800 GTO by 42%, Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO by 68% and the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro by 54%. The Game Result show performance which is much closer between the video cards, however the Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT still offers much better Gaming performance. One surprise is that the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO and Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro swap positions, the Sapphire Radeon x1650 Pro is better for Synthetic Benchmarks but the Sapphire Radeon x800 GTO is better for Game Performance. The Sapphire Radeon x1950 XT is a great video card and allows the use of High Resolution and High Quality Settings for Ultimate Gaming!"
