CONCLUSION "It was a very close result between the two processors, a big performance increase wasn't expected because the Athlon XP 2000 is only 197Mhz faster than the Athlon XP 1700. This only maked the Athlon XP 2000 12% faster than the Athlon XP 1700 in raw processing speed. When we tested the game benchmarks contained within 3dmark 2001 SE the performance difference between the Athlon XP 2000 and Athlon XP 1700 was usually very small."
