ABOUT ULTIMATE HARDWARE
"We started thinking about making a website doing computer hardware reviews of processors, video cards and motherboards in 2002. We had no website building experience so we first did a basic html course to learn the basics and then we set out ideas for what we wanted. We did some basic reviews such as the Socket 7 Video Card Comparison, AMD K62 550Mhz vs AMD Duron 750Mhz and Wintune 1997 CPU and FPU Chart. These early reviews proved to be popular so we started thinking of ways to improve the Ultimate Hardware website. These improvements included learning some basic seo optimisation methods which might work with Ultimate Hardware. It's at this point that Ultimate Hardware starting taking off and the costs started mounting up. This is when my friend left working on Ultimate Hardware so it became just my hobby. To cut costs I decided it was time to think of something to reduce the bandwidth use."
"It is now 2004 and I have managed to cut my hosting bills by using a simple html method of doing the graphs which is still being used today. This simple method to cut bandwidth saved Ultimate Hardware so now I started to increase the reviews. I contacted various companies who make video cards, processors etc and was given products for review. This really helps keep the costs down because at this point Ultimate Hardware had no method of making money because it was run as a Hobby. Asking for new Hardware to review was proving to be quite slow so I decided to ask my friends who asked their friends for to see if they had anything I could borrow so I could review it for Ultimate Hardware. This was a great success because they had Video Cards I had never thought about reviewing so when they arrived I was quick to review them and tell them what hardware I had available."
"I also asked people I knew who also run Hardware Review Websites incase they had anything I could borrow and they were a great source of information, help and hardware for review. It's now 2010 and time for me to start making Ultimate Hardware earn some money so I added Adsense Ads."
