AMD PHENOM II X4 960T REVIEW
"We are testing the Phenom II X4 960T CPU against the Athlon II X3 455 CPU. The Phenom II X4 960T is clocked at 3000Mhz and the Athlon II X3 455 is clocked at 3300Mhz. The Phenom II X4 960T and ATHLON II X3 455 both support MMX+, 3DNow+, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4A, x86-64 and AMD-V. A big advantage for the Phenom II X4 960T is the 6MB Level 3 Cache while the Athlon II X3 455 has none. Another big advantage for the Phenom II X4 960T is that it has a Turbo which increases the Clock Speed to 3.4Ghz for a speed boost during demanding Software. We will be using Benchmarks for testing AMD Phenom II X4 960T and Athlon II X3 455 which are:- Cinebench 10, Cinebench 11.5, Geekbench, Novabench and Nuclearus. Games Benchmarks are Crysis, Hawk 2, Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5."

FINAL RESULTCOMMENT - "This review was for the AMD Phenom II X4 960T compared against the AMD Athlon II X3 455. This review clearly showed that 4 Cores are better than 3 with Win after Win for the AMD Phenom II X4 960T. When using General Computer Software the AMD Phenom II X4 960T delivered 37% extra Performance compared to the AMD Athlon II X3 455 which is very impressive. When using Games Software which usually Favour the GPU rather than the CPU so much the AMD Phenom II X4 960T delivered 25% extra Game Performance compared to the AMD Athlon II X3 455. There are are three reasons why the AMD Phenom II X4 960T is better with Games than the AMD Athlon II X3 455. These reasons are the AMD Phenom II X4 960T is Quad Core while the AMD Athlon II X3 455 is Triple Core. Another reason is that the AMD Phenom II X4 960T has 6MB Level 3 Cache which helps performance greatly while the AMD Athlon II X3 455 has none. Final reason is that the AMD Phenom II X4 960T has Turbo which increases it's speed from 3.0Ghz to 3.4Ghz for an instant Speed Boost. Yes the AMD Athlon II X3 455 is 3.3Ghz but it lacks so much of the features of the AMD Phenom II X4 960T that it's not even fair. There is one thing that the AMD Athlon II X3 455 wins and that is the Price which is 36% lower than the AMD Phenom II X4 960T. However the amazing performance shown by the AMD Phenom II X4 960T make it the winner." |
