FINAL RESULT
COMMENT - "The Asus Radeon HD 7970 does very well with each game we use for benchmarking beating the Zotac GeForce GTX 580 with all 8 games we use for benchmarking. The difference in performance was between 5% to 21% more performance which is a great showing by the Asus Radeon HD 7970. The Asus Radeon HD 7970 outperformed the Zotac GeForce GTX 580 by 11% over all 8 games which is a good result. Taking price into account it's not looking so good for the Asus Radeon HD 7970 which costs 23% more than the Zotac GeForce GTX 580. So for an extra 11% performance you have to pay 23% more for the Asus Radeon HD 7970. Ofcourse we didn't take into account overclocking and this is where the Asus Radeon HD 7970 could make up the difference but not everyone overclocks their video card. If you are going to be overclocking the Asus Radeon HD 7970 then it will be a good buy." |
