COMMENT - "We are using the older 3dmark 2001 benchmark to show performance more in line with Single Core Processors. The AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 10%. Here we see that the AMD Athlon64 4000 is able to outperform the AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 by 5%. The AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 outperforms the AMD Athlon64 3000 by 19%. The only thing we can take from these 3dmark 2001 results is that the fastest Single Core Processor beats the slowest Dual Core Processor."

COMMENT - "3dmark 2006 is much more demanding than 3dmark 2001 and makes good use of Dual Core Technology which means the Dual Core Processors have an advantage. Using the 3dmark 2006 Final Score the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 27%, the AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 16% and also beats the AMD Athlon64 3000 by 35%. When using the 3dmark 2006 CPU Score the Dual Core Processors put the squeeze on the Single Core Processors even more for a very convincing victory."

COMMENT - "Nuclearus Multi Core Benchmark favours Dual Core especially with it's Multi Thread Benchmark. I will just focus on the Overall and Multi Thread Benchmarks. ALU and FPU are decided by the Core Clock Speeds so if the Processor is running faster it will be faster. We start off with the Multi Thread Benchmark, the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 41% and the AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 beats the AMD Athlon64 3000 by 47%. Overall the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 29% and the AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 beats the AMD Athlon64 3000 by 31%. An interesting result is that AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 15%."

COMMENT - "Performance Test makes great use of Dual Core Technology so it was expected that the gap between the Dual Core Processors the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 and AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 would be quite wide compared to the Single Core Processors the AMD Athlon64 4000 and AMD Athlon64 3000. The 2D Graphics results are CPU limited and the 3D Graphics results are Video Card Limited so we will be ignoring them. We shall start off with the CPU Mark and here the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 beats the AMD Athlon64 4000 by 50% and the AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 beats the AMD Athlon64 3000 by 55%. Using the Final Passmark the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 beats AMD Athlon64 4000 by 37% and AMD Athlon64 X2 3800 beats AMD Athlon64 3000 by 34%."
