AMD DITCHING OLD RADEONS

NEW AMD 7000 VIDEO CARDS OUT IN Q1

"Even though the AMD Radeon HD 7950 and AMD Radeon HD 7970 have only just been released AMD has plans for Q1 for more mainstream Video Cards. These Video Cards are the AMD Radeon HD 7770 and AMD Radeon HD 7750 which should appeal to users on a budget. The AMD Radeon HD 7770 and AMD Radeon HD 7750 are going to be 1GB Video Cards clocked at an impressive 900Mhz. The AMD Radeon HD 7770 should have 896 Shader Processors and the AMD Radeon HD 7750 has 832 Shader Processors. So when will these new AMD Radeon HD Video Cards be launched? If you go by leaked news then they will be available on February 15th. If you have a bit more of a Budget then you might be interested in the AMD Radeon HD 7870 and AMD Radeon HD 7850 available in March."

AMD RADEON HD 7950 SPECIFICATIONS

"AMD has released the Second Series 7000 Video Card which is the AMD Radeon HD 7950. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 uses the Tahiti just like the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 uses Clock Speed of 800Mhz so with the Process Technology being 28nm should mean the AMD Radeon HD 7950 runs cool and power efficent. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has 1792 Stream Processors which is 13% less than the 2068 found on the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 uses 3GB GDDR5 just like the AMD Radeon HD 7970 so it's performance should be fairly close behind. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has 112 Texture Units compared to 128 with the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has a 89Gtexs Texture Fillrate compared to 118Gtexs on the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has the Memory Clock at 1250Mhz while the AMD Radeon HD 7970 is 1375Mhz. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 delivers Memory Bandwidth of 240GBs while the AMD Radeon HD 7970 delivers 264GBS which is impressive. Both the AMD Radeon HD 7950 and AMD Radeon HD 7970 use a Memory Bus Speed of 384Bit."

ASUS RADEON HD 7970 REVIEW

AMD RADEON HD 7970 AND 7950 INFORMATION

"AMD is due to release the flagship video cards the AMD Radeon HD 7970 and AMD Radeon HD 7950 on December 22nd 2011. So what will these new video cards feature Specification and Performance wise:- The AMD Radeon HD 7970 uses the new 28nm Tahiti Process with a brand new architecture. The AMD Radeon HD 7970 will come with 2048 stream processors with 3gb Gddr5 Memory that uses the 384bit bus width. The AMD Radeon HD 7970 has a core speed of 925mhz but AMD claims the AMD Radeon HD 7970 can be overclocked to 1000mhz. The AMD Radeon HD 7970 uses a new type of cooling method provided by a heat sink with a sixth generation vapor chamber and an improved fan design. Performance reports have shown that the AMD Radeon HD 7970 has a 30% performance advantage over the Radeon HD 6970 which is very impressive. The AMD Radeon HD 7970 has performance close to the dual gpu Radeon HD 6990. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 is clocked a little slower at 900mhz, also uses the 385mhz Memory Interface and has 1920 Shader Processors. Both the AMD Radeon HD 7970 and AMD Radeon HD 7950 are going to be amazing performing video cards from AMD."

SAPPHIRE RADEON 6850 VS PALIT GEFORCE 460 REVIEW

The Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 is reviewed against it's Nvidia rival the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic so here are some Specifications. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic uses GF104 GPU at 700Mhz and has 1GB GDDR5 memory running at 3600Mhz. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic has a 256Bit Memory Interface, 336 Shader Processors and DirectX 11. Software used for testing was 3dmark 2006, 3dmark Vantage, 3dmark 11, Call of Duty Black Ops, Crysis Warhead and Hawk 2."

The Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 faces the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme which has DX11 and 1440 Shader Processors. Software used for testing was 3dmark 2006, 3dmark Vantage, 3dmark 11, Dirt 3, Call of Duty Black Ops, Crysis Warhead and Hawk 2. It's going to be an interesting fight between the Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 and Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme which has 34% more Shader Processors for that extra performance impact. The Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 also has a small advantage of a 7% Higher Core Clock Speed which should give it a small performance boost."

HIS RADEON HD 5770 REVIEW

"The HIS Radeon HD 5770 is compared to the Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic. The HIS Radeon HD 5770 has 4% lower Clock Speed and 19% faster memory compared to the Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic. The main problem the HIS Radeon HD 5770 is it's cost which is 10% more expensive than the Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic.
