(01/06) NVIDIA VIDEO CHART UPDATED REVIEW BY ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "The Nvidia Chart has been updated to include the specifications for the Nvidia Geforce 7900 GTX"

(01/06) POWERCOLOR RADEON X1900 XT REVIEW BY HARDWARE ZONE - "ATI not taking lightly to being pushed back to the passenger seat just soon after its prized Radeon X1800 series was made available, they have been quietly working upon a revised edition of their flagship and have made it available earlier than anticipated."

(01/06) ATI RADEON X1900 XTX REVIEW BY XBIT LABS - "ATI Technologies’ highly-anticipated Radeon X1800-series proved to be a high-performance lineup, however, ATI failed to grab the crown of the indisputable leader from Nvidia Corp. with the new family and the latter’s GeForce 7800 GTX 512, which was never available in mass quantities, attracted a lot of attention to Nvidia’s products. Today ATI attempts to fight back its leadership with the Radeon X1900 XTX graphics card, which offers a promise to be the fastest consumer board in the world. Find out whether the Radeon X1900 XTX delivers on its promise in this review that includes 24 gaming benchmarks."

(01/06) POWERCOLOR X1300 PRO REVIEW BY BYTESECTOR - "Today we’re going to be taking a look at the Powercolor’s X1300 Pro Bravo, a card set out to rival NVIDIA’s popular 6600. While the preference of pure speed over quality has been the biggest knock on ATI-based cards in the past, the X1300 comes with full SM3.0 support, High Dynamic Range, adaptive anti-aliasing and Avivo—features which can bring an image to life. Now we’re going to find out if they’ve managed to find the right mix of image quality and raw speed to produce a top quality video card."

(01/06) ECS PF5 EXTREME i945P REVIEW BY TECHPOWERUP - "Intel's i945 and i955 chipsets are the first to support dual core Pentium D CPUs. The i955 is the "Performance" part, while it's i945 counterpart is geared more toward value. Although the price difference between the two is quite big, the technical differences are rather small. I955 has support for up to 8 GB of ECC memory, while i945 can "only" support 4 GB of non-ECC memory, not really important for you, as long as you don't plan on running a high-performance server. The other difference is that the i955 features Intel's proprietary "Memory Pipeline Technology". According to the Intel Website it "enables a higher utilization of each memory channel, accelerating data transfers between the processor and system memory and resulting in higher system performance."

(01/06) ASUS EXTREME X1800 XT REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "The EAX1800XT TOP is of course based off the VPU of ATI's Radeon X1800 XT, or the R520, which not only is fast but brought ATI up to the graphics quality standards of Nvidia. This includes supporting Shader Model 3.0, High Dynamic Rendering (HDR), AVIVO, and more. While the standard clock for the Radeon X1800XT is 625MHz for the GPU and 750MHz for the memory, Asus bumps this up to 700MHz for the core and 800MHz for the memory, all shipping speeds."

(01/06) HIS RADEON X1600XT REVIEW BY BJORN3D - "While we have followed, and still are following, the battle for the high-end between NVIDIA and ATI sometimes it seems we forget the real important battle ‘below’, the fight about the mid-end. When the X1600XT was announced there were some concerns that it wasn’t priced correctly when you compared it to similar NVIDIA cards. ATI responded by lowering the price and today the X1600XT is a chipset that offers a lot of features and performance for its price."

(01/06) 3DMARK06 BENCHMARK OVERVIEW BY - "In this article I am going to very quickly go over the major changes from 3DMark05 to 3DMark06 as well as show you some benchmarks from 3DMark06 on the latest GPU hardware. Perhaps the most important change in 3DMark06 revolves more around the CPU than the GPU; CPU test results now influence and affect the overall 3DMark score. This is a first for the benchmark that had previously made the 3DMark score a derivative of the game tests only and left the CPU tests to be used by reviewers and third parties."

(01/06) GIGABYTE RADEON X1800 XL REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "As we all know last year ATI faced a number of big setbacks in the graphics world, first with Crossfire being pushed back months and months from when they first stated it would launch, then a paper launch with no product, and finally R520 also seeing a number of delays it finally had a nice launch late last year and as we've shown previously, does perform very well. Things seem to finally be turning around for the company and their next generation of graphics card technoogy could possibly let them fully reclaim the lead but for now the R520 is out and doing excellently. Previously we looked at Asus X1800 XL and today we have another from one of their competitors, Gigabyte, with the long winded product name of GV-RX18L256V-B, their take on ATI's X1800 XL."

(01/06) ASUS RADEON X1300 PRO REVIEW BY PHORONIX - "Released late last year was ATI's next generation GPU solution for gamers on a budget. The budget part, the X1300, came in three varieties -- X1300, X1300PRO, and X1300 Hyper Memory. All three of these graphical processors possess identical features to the X1600, X1800, and X1900 series; however, they utilize less pipes and lower clock speeds. Of course, the X1300 part is designed to compete against NVIDIA's recently released GeForce 7300GS and to replace the previous Radeon X300 edition."

(01/06) MSI RADEON X1800 XT REVIEW BY HARDWARE ZONE - "If you have been a constant reader of our recent ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB articles, you should know the ins and outs of ATI's best graphics card by now. The clock speeds, the noisy, two-slot cooler, the power requirements. You should also know that almost every other vendor has been going strictly by the design book as authored by ATI with ASUS being the only one thus far to have bucked the trend. MSI is the next manufacturer that has sent us its version of the Radeon X1800 XT 512MB, the RX1800XT-VT2D512E and predictably, we were greeted by the obnoxious whine of its standard cooler."

(01/06) SAPPHIRE X1800XT 512MB REVIEW BY HARDWARE ZOOM - "Your graphic card will never be the bottleneck again with Sapphire's top-of-the-line X1800XT. With a core speed of 625Mhz and memory speed of 1.5Ghz, you can now afford to play games at high resolution with up to 6x Anti-Aliasing. And with ATI CrossFire technology, you can take advantage of multi-GPU without replacing your existing card. ATI CrossFire not only extend the 'life-span' of the card, but also make future upgrading cheaper and easier."

(01/06) POWERCOLOR X1300 REVIEW BY XYZ COMPUTING - "When ATI's newest line of GPUs came out there was no shortage of excitement or news coverage. The Xxx0 models (X300, X600, X800, X850), which were being replaced, were still alive and well, but they had not gained nearly as much favor with enthusiasts as Nvidia's 6x00 series. ATI replied with their newest line, which quickly became known as the X1K series."

(01/06) GIGABYTE GEFORCE 7300 GS REVIEW BY 3DAVENUE - "As we've seen with most Nvidia GPU series launches in the past, it can take a while before lower end solutions are released based on the new technology. While the 7800GT and 7800GTX have been out for a few months now, users looking for a cheap solution based on the latest technology were still looking at the last generation of releases - but not any more. In the past week, Nvidia has announced the release of the first budget aimed Series 7 GPU, the Geforce 7300GS. Today, we check out two 128MB DDR2 PCI-E models - the ASUS 7300GS, and the Gigabyte 7300GS."

(01/06) ATI RADEON X1900 XTX REVIEW BY TECH REPORT - "SO YOU'RE SITTING IN your executive suite just outside of Toronto, reading your favorite website's stellar review of the GeForce 7800 GTX 512. This new GPU from your main competitor is putting the hurt on your company's own high-end offering, the Radeon X1800 XT. In fact, the contest is more lopsided than the NFC championship game. Not good. What can you do about it?"

(01/06) ATI RADEON X1900 XTX REVIEW BY HARDOCP - "ATI Radeon X1900 Series Evaluation : ATI’s new series of high-end desktop gaming video cards are poised to provide a more immersive gaming experience. We have many comparisons to show you and some surprising results. If you are a gamer, don’t miss this evaluation."

(01/06) NVIDIA LAUNCHES GEFORCE 7300 GS BY DAILY TECH - "NVIDIA has another hard launch under their belts with the release of the GeForce 7300 GS. The 7300 GS is the first 90 nanometer GPU from NVIDIA. The new part has all of the core functionality of its more expensive 7800 GTX and 7800 GT counterparts including Shader Model 3.0 and support for PureVideo."

(01/06) XFX GEFORCE 6800 GS REVIEW BY NVNEWS - "Looking for a bargain in a mid-range graphics card? We may have found just what you have been looking for. Slated to replace the GeForce 6800 at a mid-range price point, the GeForce 6800 GS is closer in performance to the more powerful GeForce 6800 GT. While such performance attributes are currently overshadowed by the remarkable GeForce 7800 Series, the GeForce 6800 GS still may be a viable option for the cost-conscience gamer."

(01/06) ATHLON64 FX60 REVAMPED REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "Our results from the Athlon 64 FX60 show that it is the top performer in our labs. Most surprising is how far along the graphics drivers have come from our first dual core tests back in May for gaming performance. The only question is how long will it take for samples to become available. We spoke with Newegg earlier tonight, and they may show up there tomorrow. The other question is when the new Intel 955 appears. So far we have no idea on that one. With that in mind the FX60 looks poised to take over as the fastest CPU for the next few months at least, and as multithreading applications spread it will only tighten its grip."

(01/06) AMD ATHLON64 FX-60 REVIEW BY PCPER - "AMD released their dual core line up in May of 2005, just over 7 months ago. At that time, the flagship processor brand, the Athlon 64 FX, remained a single core processor, with AMD stating that single core CPUs were still the best for gaming. Most reviews found that indeed the FX-55 running at 2.6 GHz was faster than the X2 4800+ processor running at 2.4 GHz in nearly all gaming applications. The FX-57 released earlier this year increased that gap. With today's release of the Athlon 64 FX-60 processor, AMD is saying to the world, we are ready for dual-core gaming."
