(02/04) GeCube Radeon 9600XT 128MB review by XBitLabs - "Our today’s review is dedicated to an uncommon product. GeCube RADEON 9600 XT "Extreme" graphics card is based on the new PCB design and comes equipped with faster memory. We are going to answer two questions: what advantages fast memory can bring to a RADEON 9600 XT-based card, and how the new PCB design influences the overclockability of the card."

(02/04) Sapphire Radeon 9600XT 128MB review by HardOCP - "Sapphire’s brand new top of the line “Ultimate” 9600XT and 9800XT are on the test bench. We find out if silent is really silent and if these cards are worth your hard earned dollars. Also this is a great guide to show you just what more you are getting between a 9600XT and 9800XT purchase."

(02/04) ECS 755-A2 SiS755 review by XBitLabs - "This mainboard is not the first product to feature SiS755, actually. Elitegroup has already tried to develop a mainboard on SiS755. The outcome, ECS 755-A mainboard, was a kind of a failure: it was unstable with DDR400 SDRAM and the faulty design hindered the performance. Elitegroup engineers didn’t give up, though, but made some improvements and released 755-A2 version, free from those problems. This is a mainboard that can become really popular as it has a trump card in the hands, SiS755 chipset."

(02/04) AMD Athlon 64 3400+ review by Bjorn3D - "If you want a really technical article, this isn't it (for technical information related to AMD64 technology, go here). I'm just going to show you several common benchmarks, comparing the Athlon 64 3400+ to the Athlon 64 3200+ and the Athlon 64 FX-51. It's quite obvious that the 3400+ will outperform the 3200+ (hopefully by 10% or more), but how will it compare to the FX-51? Considering that both the FX-51 and the 3400+ are clocked at 2.2GHz, this should be interesting to see them go head to head. Read on to see which one wins this little bout and by how much."

(02/04) Forsa GeForceFX 5600 review by TechwareLabs - "Techwarelabs is pleased to have recently had the Forsa FX5600 in the labs for testing. At the time of this article the big two manufacturers in the Video card market are Nvidia and ATI. Both compete for market share in a neverending production of video cards. A consumer is easily lost in this battle for which card to buy, where a card produced two months ago is no longer at the high end. In truth the consumer rarely needs a high end video card to still see appreciable gains in performance and have access to features available on high end cards."

(02/04) Asus Radeon 9600XT 128MB review by ExtremeTech - "Today, we take a look at a Radeon 9600 XT card from ASUS, one of the most popular of these vendors. The company has long been known for their line of motherboards, and their line of video cards--including both ATI and nVidia-based products--is rapidly becoming very popular in North America. Let's dig into the mid-range Radeon 9600XT and find out if it's really any different from ATI's offering."

(02/04) Gigabyte GeForceFX 5950 Ultra review by PCStats - "Unsure of what exactly to expect from the Gigabyte's FX5950 Ultra "GT" version, this should be quite a treat for us... After all, the Gigabyte GV-N595U-GT videocard is based on Nvidia's current power-house GPU clocked at 520MHz. While the heatsink on this puppy takes up two full slots, you can be assured it's not there to cool the digital equivalent of a 'Ford GEO.'"

(02/04) Hercules Radeon 9600XT review by TrustedReviews - "The card it based on the standard ATi Radeon 9600XT. This has been manufactured using a 0.13 micron process with low-k dielectric technology enabling a high clock speed of 500MHz for the core GPU. The 128MB of DDR1 memory is rated at 325MHz, giving an effective clock of 650MHz, 50HZ faster than the standard 9600XT speeds. The rest of the architecture is a cut down version of the ATi Radeon 9800 Pro, featuring four rather than eight pixel pipelines and a 128bit memory architecture, versus a 256bit interface on its bigger and far more expensive brother. As we’ll see, this latter aspect of the design is the card’s Achilles heal."

(02/04) MSI GeForceFX 5900XT review by PCStats - " Naturally, being a top of the line card, the MSI GeForceFX 5900XT easily outperforms the GeForceFX 5700 Ultra, and handily trounces ATi's Radeon 9600XT to boot. In fact nVIDIA may have even put themselves in the awkward position where one product could potentially steal sales away from the other. It's like the GeForce4 Ti4200 situation all over again, but this time more is on the line."

(02/04) Abit Radeon 9800XT review by TechReport - "WHEN ATI first released its R300 graphics chip, I couldn't help but feel bad for NVIDIA's graphics partners. ATI and its partners were offering the best graphics cards on the block, and NVIDIA's partners were stuck with the GeForce 4 and a lot of hype for the upcoming NV30 graphics chip. When NV30 finally emerged in the GeForce FX 5800 Ultra, it was months late, strapped to a Dustbuster, and far from a compelling alternative to ATI's high-end offerings."

(02/04) Sapphire Radeon 9600XT review by Bjorn3D - "The RADEON 9600XT is the hotrod board in the 9600 family. The XT features a core speed of 500 MHz versus the 325 MHz of the standard 9600 and 400 MHz of the PRO. Memory speed for the XT and PRO is at least 300MHz DDR (600MHz effective) compared to the 9600's 200MHz DDR (400MHz effective). The review card, a RADEON 9600XT Ultimate from Sapphire, is even more special. Not because it's hopped up, but because it uses passive cooling, meaning it uses a big, honking heatsink and heatpipe. Silent PC lovers, this one's for you! The 9600XT Ultimate is absolutely silent - it has no moving parts. An elaborate heatsink handles all the cooling. The tradeoff, however, is 300MHz DDR memory (600MHz effective) compared to 325MHz DDR (650MHz effective) to Sapphire's fan-cooled 9600XT's."

(02/04) MSI GeForceFX 5950 Ultra review by PCStats - " The MSI FX5950 Ultra-VTD256 with its red PCB and large copper plated cast aluminum heatsinks weighs in around 500g, making it one pretty heavy videocard. Luckily for us, MSI make sure that the FX5950 Ultra-VTD256 will not get damaged during shipping by surrounding it with a nice cushion of antistatic foam."
