(02/08) HIS RADEON HD 3850 HDMI 256MB REVIEW AT ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "His Radeon HD 3850 review also featuring the Sapphire Redeon HD 2600 XT and MSI NX 8600 GT. The His Radeon HD 3850 is equipped with 320 Stream Processing Units, Unified Shader Architecture and advanced High-speed 128-bit HDR (High Dynamic Range) rendering."

(02/08) PERFORMANCE DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED AT ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "Now includes 3dmark 2006 performance result for the new Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT."

(02/08) NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 GT DETAILS AT ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "The Nvidia video card chart has now been updated to include the latest information about the Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT. We include information on the chip, core clock speed, memory clock speed, memory interface, memory transfer rate, pixels per clock and directx version."

(02/08) UPDATED THE PERFORMANCE DATABASE AT ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "Now includes the 3dmark 2006 scores for the ATI Radeon HD 3650 and ATI Radeon HD 3450 video cards."

(02/08) ATI RADEON HD 3870 X2 REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "It was probably one of ATI's longest dry spells last year when they were long overdue for their DirectX10 card and when it finally did arrive the Radeon HD 2900 XT used far too much power and was an underwhelming performer compared to Nvidia's best. Luckily they came back strong last November with the Radeon HD 3870 and 3850 which performed excellently in the mid-range but unfortunately they still weren't able to claim the top spot. That has all changed with the Radeon HD 3870 X2 which combines two GPUs on a card in a way which we haven't seen previously."

(02/08) INNO3D GEFORCE 9600 GT 512MB SLI REVIEW AT GURU3D - "Today's tested product will again come from Inno3D. They offer good quality products and ever since last year, with a twist. Earlier last year they introduced a very powerful concept with their custom cooled solutions under the label iChill. A big hit from the very beginning. Today's product does not come from that iChill line, but from their OC edition graphics cards. Inno3D seems to have caught up with the enthusiast market, the market where products are differentiated and no longer are based on run of the mill reference clocked products. Today it's therefore no surprise to see their new OC based product; a 512MB GeForce 9600 GT default overclocked to such high levels that it even made me scratch behind my ears."

(02/08) HOW MUCH GRAPHICS MEMORY DO YOU NEED? AT TECH REPORT - "Budget cards equipped with ridiculous amounts of memory are the culprit here. For enthusiasts, a gig of memory on a sub-$100 graphics card makes about as much sense as putting a spoiler on a Yugo. Budget GPUs lack the horsepower necessary to run games at the kinds of resolutions and detail levels that would require such a copious amount of video memory. But what about the latest crop of mid-range graphics cards? Nvidia's GeForce 8800 GT has considerable pixel-pushing power on its own, and when teamed in SLI, that power is effectively doubled. Perhaps a gigabyte of memory on this class of card isn't so unreasonable."

(02/08) NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT TECH REPORT - "Happily, the GPU makers saw fit to remedy this situation, and in the past few months, we've gained an embarrassment of riches in video card choices between about $170 and $250, including the screaming GeForce 8800 GT and a pair of solid values in the Radeon HD 3850 and 3870. Now, that embarrassment is becoming positively scandalous, as Nvidia unveils yet another new GPU aimed at graphics cards below the $200 mark: the GeForce 9600 GT. Where does the 9600 GT fit into the daunting mix"

(02/08) BFG GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT PCPER - "NVIDIA is back again with another new mid-range part, this time under the disguise of the GeForce 9000-series descriptor. The GeForce 9600 GT aims at the price point that AMD's HD 3850 sits in, from $170-$200, and will surely push their previous 8600-series cards out the door once and for all."

(02/08) BFG GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT HARD OCP - "The new GeForce 9600 GT is poised to deliver high performance for under $200. We take the new BFGTech GeForce 9600 GT OC for a spin in Crysis, COD 4, and UT3 to test its mettle. Is your hard earned cash better spent on a Radeon HD 3850, Radeon HD 3870, or GeForce 8800 GT."

(02/08) NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT ANANDTECH - "As the G9x series of GPUs slowly trickles into the mainstream, we are very happy to report that NVIDIA has executed a solid post 8800 GT launch: the G94 is very competitive at its price point in the form of the GeForce 9600 GT. That the current generation couldn't outpace the previous generation is a major complaint we had of previous midrange launches. Hopefully NVIDIA and AMD will be able to keep up the competition for all the new introductions we see this year."

(02/08) NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT TRUSTED REVIEWS - "Ok, so the 'midrange', as it's known, was a bit rubbish in the middle part of last year with the ATI HD 2600 XT and nVidia 8600 GT/GTS performing way below expectations but since then things have livened up quite a bit. First was the nVidia 8800 GT that, although a bit expensive to truly call midrange at £150-£180, offered massive performance for a much more realistic price than the 8800 GTS and GTX."

(02/08) GALAXY GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT ELITE BS - "As the first board in NVIDIA's GeForce 9 series, the name of this particular product may well conjure images of a brand new architecture, but is the G94 core really all that different from what has gone before, and perhaps more importantly, will it do enough to tempt users away from current offerings in the sub-$200 discrete graphics market? For our GeForce 9600 GT launch coverage, we'll be looking at one of the first factory overclocked boards to feature this SKU, in the form of Galaxy's GeForce 9600 GT OC, as well as examining reference board performance to boot. What better way is there to spend a bit of your day than rading about a new graphics core?"

(02/08) EVGA GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT NVNEWS - "Today we have news to share as NVIDIA is launching its first Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) based on the GeForce 9 Series - the GeForce 9600 GT. Building on the success of the unified architecture present on the GeForce 8, the GeForce 9 Series features enhanced compression technology, which reduces the amount of data that passes through the memory bus. Graphics cards with the GeForce 9600 GT are targeted at the mainstream segment with a suggested price between $169 and $189."

(02/08) INNO3D GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT LEGION HARDWARE - "Today we are able to bring you a review on a new GeForce 9600 GT graphics card which is built around the G94 architecture. Inno3D has sent us their overclocked version of the 9600 GT and we have put it to the test in a number of gaming titles. Nvidia created some serious waves with the GeForce 8800 GTX when they released it back in November of 2006. Unfortunately for gamers that could not afford a model from the luxurious GeForce 8800 series, a more affordable solution did not arrive for another 5 months, and when it did we quickly learnt what it meant to be truly disappointed. Upon receiving our GeForce 8600 GT sample we decided to compare it to the previous 7600 GT model."

(02/08) NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 GT REVIEW AT TWEAKTOWN - "The latest graphics card to make its way to the labs at TweakTown (and the public very soon) is the 9600GT. Generally speaking, any x600 form of card has never been that exciting really; sure the 8600GT and 8600GTS weren’t bad, but far from what you’d call exciting."

(02/08) 16 MID-RANGE GRAPHICS CARDS COMPARED AT TECH REPORT - "We are living in perhaps the most exciting time in recent history for PC graphics. What's particularly striking about this latest flurry of excitement is that it isn't tied to a new standard in performance set by high-end "halo" cards that few enthusiasts can actually afford. Instead, it's being driven at an almost grassroots level, fueled by the class of graphics cards that most of us seem to end up actually buying—cards in the $200 range. These cards don't incite as much geek lust as those higher up the line, but they're far more attainable and often boast a better value proposition than the latest flagships."

(02/08) HIS HD 3450 & 3650 VIDEO CARDS REVIEW AT 3DGAMEMAN - "The Radeon HD 3000 series video cards are available in a number of different models ranging from value to ultimate performance. The HD 3450 Video Card is considered value and the HD 3650 video card is mainstream. The 3800 series video cards fall into the performance and ultimate category. The HIS HD 3450 & 3650 Video Cards not certainly not the best choice for serious gamers, but they are great products all the same. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end."

(02/08) SAPPHIRE PC-AM2RD790 REVIEW AT TRUSTED REVIEWS - "You're getting two reviews for the price of one here as the Sapphire PC-AM2RD790 is identical to the DFI LAN Party UT 790FX-M2R. We're told that this Phenom motherboard is a joint venture between Sapphire and DFI but to my eye it looks like a DFI right down to the LAN Party logo that is printed above the bottom graphics slot. There is a small amount of ambiguity as the board doesn't carry either DFI or Sapphire logos but the style and design shriek DFI at every turn."

(02/08) VISIONTEK RADEON HD 3850 REVIEW AT PC PERSPECTIVE - "VisionTek is a name that has been around the industry for some time, but as many well know, it has not always meant the same thing. The original VisionTek was one of the few board makers that actually produced product in the US. Unlike most other manufacturers with lines in Taiwan and mainland China, VisionTek produced all of their boards in their US plant in Illinios. Due to some unfortunate business and ethics decisions, VisionTek had to close its doors. The Hartford Computer Group acquired the VisionTek brand in 2002 and have concentrated on producing ATI based graphics cards and peripherals. This was quite the change, as the brand previously had been 100% NVIDIA affiliated, and produced a lot of the reference boards for NVIDIA."

(02/08) ASUS EAH3650 TOP REVIEW AT TRUSTED REVIEWS - "These cards represent the meat and two veg of the company's graphics card sales, providing small to medium boosts in graphical performance over integrated graphics while providing enough features to transform any PC into a fully up to date multimedia machine. We'll be looking at the HD 3400-series at some point in the future so anyone with a seriously tight budget, an interest in building a Media Center PC, or a desire simply for a very small increase in 3D graphical performance should keep an eye out for that. Today, though we're looking at the faster HD 3650 and more specifically the version brought to us by ASUS, the EAH3650 TOP. Before we look in detail at that card, though, we'll talk a bit about what the HD 3650 brings to the table.

(02/08) POWERCOLOR HD 3650 512M GDDR3 XTREME PCS REVIEW AT BJORN3D - "Although AMD was unable to compete with NVIDIA in the enthusiasts market, it is able to compete very well with NVIDIA in the mainstream and budget market. Their latest technology in the HD 3850 has been ported to the mainstream and budget market with the introduction of the HD 3650 and HD 3400 in January 23, 2008 . Today, join us for our first review of the HD3650 as we will take a look at the HD 3650 Xtreme from PowerColor."

(02/08) TWEAKING THE PHENOM 9600 BLACK EDITION AT TECH REPORT - "The Phenom 9600 Black Edition has been knocking around in Damage Labs for a while now, and I'm afraid I haven't done it justice. The Black Edition is an intriguing product in a number of ways, because it's a relatively affordable quad-core processor with an unlocked upper multiplier for easy overclocking. AMD has had its share of trouble with the Phenom, from delays to the clock frequency problems to the infamous TLB erratum, but the Black Edition is a very nice olive branch that AMD has extended to enthusiasts—and it may warrant your consideration, especially if you're already running a Socket AM2-based system."

(02/08) POWERCOLOR PASSIVE HD3870 SCS3 REVIEW AT TECHPOWERUP - "PowerColor has been using the SCS3 cooling system on a number of products before. When the HD 3870 was released they soon started working on their implementation of a completely passive HD 3870. The final product is a blessing for all media PC owners or users who want to build a quiet PC. All other SCS3 cards use a cooler designed by Arctic Cooling, the HD 3870 SCS3 does not."

(02/08) LEADTEK GEFORCE 8800 GT 256MB REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "Nvidia has definitely been having a few great years and that came to fruition with the GeForce 8800 GT released late October. Of course AMD also brought forth their best graphics cards yet and due to Nvidia being unable to match the price they claimed the 3870 and 3850 are more than stiff competition. Nvidia though has an answer for that as well in their GeForce 8800 GT 256MB video card, taking a swipe at AMD's lowered price offerings. Today we have one of these cards to look at from Leadtek."

(02/08) 700-1000W ENTHUSIAST POWER SUPPLIES COMPARED AT TECH REPORT - "Manufacturers have picked up on enthusiast, er, enthusiasm for quality power supply units, promising to deliver cleaner and quieter power more efficiently as wattage ratings scale skyward. Some have even developed unique features, including monitoring and control software, adjustable voltage lines, integrated USB hubs, and modular cabling solutions in attempts to differentiate their products in an increasingly crowded market. To help make sense of the wide selection of power supply units available, we've rounded up eight contenders between 700 and 1000 watts from Antec, Corsair, Gigabyte, Hiper, PC Power & Cooling, Super Talent, Tagan, and Ultra. Keep reading to see how they compare in the real world and when pushed to their limits by our beastly test rig."

(02/08) NVIDIA TO PURCHASE AGEIA TECHNOLOGIES AT TECH REPORT - "Confirming rumors that appeared last month, Nvidia has announced that it has agreed to purchase Ageia Technologies. According to Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, Nvidia plans to bring GeForce-accelerated PhysX to gamers worldwide."

(02/08) AUDIO CODEC COMPARISON TABLE AT HARDWARE SECRETS - "Audio codec is a small chip measuring ¼ sq. in. (7 mm2) located on the motherboard in charge of the analog audio functions. Knowing the specs of a codec will allow you to compare the audio quality of different motherboards, allowing you to choose the right product for you."

(02/08) HOW ON-BOARD AUDIO WORKS AT HARDWARE SECRETS - "Today all motherboards have an embedded sound card (this feature goes by several different names, like on-board audio, on-board sound, integrated audio or integrated sound). On this tutorial we will explain you how the on-board audio is produced, allowing you to understand what a codec is and what its importance to the audio quality is."

(02/08) SHUTTLE'S XPC SP35P2 PRO SFF BAREBONES SYSTEM REVIEW AT TECH REPORT - "Intel's P35 Express has reigned as the enthusiast chipset of choice for Core 2 processors since its introduction last May, and for good reason. The P35 delivers a fantastic combination of performance, features, and overclocking potential with a low enough price tag to allow for a wide range of affordable motherboards. But what if you desire a system smaller than your average mid tower or Micro ATX?"
