(03/07) TAGAN TG1100-U96 TURBOJET REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "The Tagan PSU is sleek and black and obviously with this much wattage filled to the brim with features. Onboard there are ten SATA connectors, four molex connectors, a 20+4 pin motherboard connector, four pin and eight pin auxiliary motherboard connector and four PCI-Express power connectors. And just in case you need more molex connectors also included are four SATA-Molex adapters to fill things out just in case. The power cord they include is also is of much higher quality than your standard black three prong power cord. It may not make much difference in the real world but it is again a little extra for a premium PSU."

(03/07) ASUS M2A-VM MOTHERBOARD REVIEW AT HARDWARE SECRETS - "ASUS M2A-VM is a socket AM2 motherboard with on-board video based on the new AMD 690G chipset, also known by its codename RS690. This is the first chipset coming from the collaboration between AMD and ATI, after AMD bought ATI. We were very curious to compare its performance to the previous on-board video solution from ATI, Radeon Xpress 1100, to its competitor, GeForce 6100 from nVidia, and also to cheap add-in video cards, like GeForce 6200. Let’s see how ASUS M2A-VM performs."

(03/07) HIS X1950PRO ICEQ3 TURBO REVIEW AT HEXUS - "The last two cards we've seen from HIS, which were based on the X1600 XT and X1650 XT SKUs, left us feeling somewhat disappointed. The X16xx series didn't have a great deal of poke, though, so perhaps it wasn't HIS' fault. However, there's no room for excuses with the HIS X1950Pro IceQ 3. It's based on the impressive X1950 Pro GPU, which we already know is a good card for the money. As ever, the question is how does it fare against its competition?"

(03/07) 24 ATI RADEON PCI-E VIDEO CARDS BENCHMARKED AT LEGIT REVIEWS - "Not many publications have the ability to show performance of a dozen video cards over several generations of GPU's, but that is exactly what Legit Reviews has been able to do. We've taken a handfull of our 'retired' graphics cards out of the closet to get some updated benchmarking numbers. Armed with the above 24 ATI graphics cards we bring you some benchmark numbers that show how they all stack up!"

(03/07) INTEL VS AMD: TODAY'S GENERATION COMPARED AT TECHREPORT - "So, how do the latest processors stack up in Windows Vista? Will a sub-$200 CPU suffice for your needs? Have price cuts allowed the Athlon 64 to catch up to the Core 2 Duo in terms of price-performance? Can any of these processors stand up under the weight of killer new games like Supreme Commander? Can I possibly squeeze any more questions into one paragraph? Keep reading for answers to all of these questions and more."

(03/07) THE OSI REFERENCE MODEL FOR NETWORK PROTOCOLS AT HARDWARE SECRETS - "OSI is a model that is used to understand how network protocols work. Usually when we are studying how networks work this is one of the first topics on the study guide. The problem, however, is that usually people don’t understand why this model exists nor how it really works – even people that memorized the names of all the seven layers of this model to take an exam at college or a certification exam still have no clue. In this tutorial we will explain you why the OSI model exists and how it works and we will also present a quick correlation between TCP/IP and the OSI model."

(03/07) NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800GTS 640MB vs 1280MB IN SLI REVIEW AT TWEAKTOWN - "Are you buying a couple 320MB or 640MB GeForce 8800GTS cards for SLI?"

(03/07) POWERCOLOR RADEON X1550 512MB REVIEW AT PCSTATS - "If you need an inexpensive DirectX 9.0C compatible videocard to make your PC Vista ready, PowerColor has what you are looking for. Its Radeon X1550 is a simple PCI Express x16 videocard with 512MB of DDR2 onboard memory. The PowerColor X1550 512MB videocard supports dual DVI monitors through its two DVI outputs, and TV output via a dongle. With a retail price of $116 CDN ($99 USD, £51 GBP), the PowerColor X1550 videocard is quite affordable."

(03/07) SAPPHIRE RADEON X1050 and X1550 REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "The Radeon X1050 is based off of ATI's older RV370 GPU, is built at 110nm, features 2.0 shaders, and 75 million transistors. It comes in 256MB and 128MB varieties with DDR2 RAM. The core runs at 400MHz and the RAM at 666MHz. The Radeon X1550 is built on a 90nm fabrication process, uses 105 million transistors, features four pixel and two vertex shaders and comes with 256MB of DDR2 at 800MHz. In addition unlike the X1050 it features 3.0 shaders. The core runs at 550MHz for this one. The X1050 is a low-end part and the Radedon X1550 is the mid-range graphics card. The X1050 is currently $35 at Newegg after rebate and the X1550 $55. You might think this would cause dismal performance in the latest games but as we'll see in the benchmarks they do surprisingly well."

(03/07) CONNECT3D RADEON X1650 XT REVIEW AT TRUSTED REVIEWS - "We did, however, recently speak to Connect3D and it assured us it would be making more effort to vary its product range, by adding custom coolers and over-clocking cards straight out of the box, so we’ll be sure to get our hands on these products as soon as they become available. This X1650XT, though, is still a card from the old school as it were, with a reference board design and standard ATI Radeon X1650XT cooler."

(03/07) POWERCOLOR RADEON X1950 PRO REVIEW AT HARDWARE SECRETS - "Radeon X1950 Pro is targeted to gamers that want a high-end video card but don’t want to give an arm to buy the most expensive one – which, in the case of ATI, is Radeon X1950 XTX. What is really sweet about this model from PowerColor is that it comes with Artic Cooling’s Accelero X2 VGA cooler already assembled on the card, which is a very high-end and silent cooling solution. Let’s compare the performance of this video card with its main competitors."

(03/07) AMD ROADMAP UPDATE ON R600 - DETAILS CONFIRMED AT TWEAKTOWN - "The big daddy of them all, the Radeon X2900XTX (codenamed Dragons Head 2 in 9.5” size XTX configuration with GDDR4 memory), is due to hit shop shelves on 30th of March 2007 but it’s still unsure if they will actually make that date. Samples were already delivered to AMD’s partners last week and many companies will likely have R600 live demos on display at CeBIT. The Radeon X2900XT (codenamed Cats Eye also measuring 9.5” but with GDDR3 memory and reduced clock speeds about 15% below XTX) will hit shop shelves on 19th of April. Dragons Head 2 is actually already well into production and product will be delivered to AIB’s in just a few days from now. After many revisions, it seems like AMD have finally got things right and are satisfied with production output – Rev90 it is."

(03/07) SAPPHIRE RADEON X1950GT REVIEW AT TWEAKTOWN - "When we had a look at the Palit Radeon X1950GT 512MB the other week, we noticed that at the higher resolutions, it would put up more of a fight against the higher clocked 256MB graphics cards, such as the Radeon X1950PRO and GeForce 7900GS. With the new Sapphire Radeon X1950GT 256MB in hand, it was clear what we wanted to find out - does the extra memory really come in handy? We saw that the cut back to 320MB on the GeForce 8800GTS had quite the impact on performance and it often mentioned that 512MB can be handy on the right card as long as it had the GPU power to back it up."

(03/07) SAPPHIRE RADEON X1950GT 256 MB CROSSFIRE REVIEW AT LOST CIRCUITS - "In this particular scenario, ATI – despite the recurrent flopping of the R600 release – has quite a few irons in the fire, particularly a driver infrastructure that warrants Crossfire functionality not only across different platforms but also across all current Microsoft Operating systems – including Vista. On the other side of the fence is nVidia with their driver infrastructure that locks out SLI from any platform other than the nForce – and despite repeated rumors to the contrary, no universally functional SLI drivers have been posted, nor have Vista drivers been released for SLI that work on cards other than the GeForce 8800 series. Needless to say that these drivers will have to come out sooner rather than later but for the moment, ATI has the momentum – at least in the non-super-high-end sector."

(03/07) ECS AMD690GM-M2 MAINBOARD REVIEW AT XBIT LABS - "On February 28, 2007 AMD (as joint AMD and ATI Company) announced their first product, to be more exact – product family: AMD 690 core logic set for AMD64 platform with integrated Radeon X1250 graphics core. We are taking a first look at this product in our new article."

(03/07) AMD 690G PERFORMANCE REVIEW AT ANANDTECH - "The AMD 690G/690V chipset was officially launched about a week ago. This is AMD's first integrated graphics platform and in our initial testing proved to be a serious competitor to the NVIDIA 6100 series and the Intel G965 in video performance. We have had a little extra time to work with the chipset and feel confident enough in the chipset and drivers to publish our first performance results today. While our initial results will concentrate on video, media, and audio application performance from a chipset level, we will be looking in-depth at each 690G board in our upcoming mATX roundup that features over ten boards from four chipset suppliers."

(03/07) AMD ATHLON64 X2 4800+ 65NM PROCESSOR REVIEW AT PCSTATS - "AMD hasn't moved as quickly to new manufacturing processes sticking with 90 nanometer for quite a while. Today the money is with 65nm SOI processor manufacturing, and with the AMD Athlon64 X2 4800+ the company has finally done the die shrink."

(03/07) INNO3D ICHILL 7900GSREVIEW AT LEGION HARDWARE - "Today we are reviewing the Inno3D iChill 7900GS featuring the Arctic-Cooling Silencer6, though there is also another Arctic-Cooling version which is passively cooled using the Accelero S1M, which is a newly released heatsink. Despite being passively cooled the overclocked core and memory frequencies remain the same. Then there are two more versions of the iChill 7900GS which feature Zalman coolers, being the VF-900 and VF-700. At this stage I am unsure how much of an impact these various cooling solutions have on the price of the iChill 7900GS. It is interesting to see a manufacturer offering such a broad range of VGA coolers for the same product."

(03/07) ATHLON64 X2 4000+ 65NM BRISBANE CORE OVERCLOCKING REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "We have posted up our review of the Athlon 64 X2 4000+ 65nm Brisbane core. We pit it against the 65nm 3600+ as well as the FX62. Can it stack up to the FX62 when overclocked? Using some quick stock heatsink air cooling we got the chip to just over 3GHz, or about 100MHz less than we got the X2 3600+. Considering what the 65nm chips are clocking to this is pretty expected. Clearly you would want to pick up a 3600+ if possible, but at this point they are hard to come by, and the 4000+ 65nm is the next best to it."

(03/07) MSI 8800GTS-320MB OC EDITION REVIEW AT TBREAK - "The MSI 8800GTS graphics card that we’re looking at today is almost identical to the one that we looked at when nVidia introduced their Direct-X 10 based cards a few months ago. Instead of 640MB memory onboard, the “new and lean” 8800GTS features 320MB onboard which also allows for the second change- a price cut! To compensate the reduction in memory, lots of manufacturers are increasing the core and memory speeds on the 320MB version of the 8800GTS. As much as I would’ve liked, MSI's 8800GTS-320MB “OC” edition that we’re looking at today, doesn’t come with Mischa Barton. Instead, it comes with increased core and memory clock speeds of 575MHz/850MHz. FYI, the stock speed of an 8800GTS is 500MHz/800MHz (Core/Clock)."

(03/07) OCZ PC2 7200 GOLD XTC MEMORY REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "By the fact that you are reading this article about high end memory, you're likely not an average computer user. More likely, you're the user who knows his way around a BIOS is and knows the performance increases you can get by tweaking a few values. You're an overclocker and know that to get the most out of your system you will need above average memory. Well fortunately for us, OCZ has not forgotten their overclocking roots, and have supplied AMD Zone with their Gold GTX PC7200 which has the head room you need for the majority of our overclockers."

(03/07) EVGA E-GEFORCE 8800 GTS 320MB SUPERCLOCKED REVIEW AT HARDOCP - "EVGA has entered the arena of affordable DirectX 10 capable video cards with their e-GeForce 8800 GTS 320 MB Superclocked video card. Does the extra clock speed make a real-world difference? We test it with today's hottest games and find out!"

(03/07) EPOX OPTIMUS EP-AF590 SLI2 REVIEW AT TWEAKTOWN - "EPoX are under the spotlight with their Socket AM2 Optimus EP-AF590 SLI2 motherboard based on the nForce 590SLI chipset."

(03/07) ABIT AW9D-MAX 975X EXPRESS REVIEW AT PCSTATS - "ABIT, which is now officially known as Universal ABIT, is recapturing is former glory. The ABIT AW9D-MAX motherboard is based on Intel's top of the line 975X Express and ICH7R chipsets, packs in quite a lot to get excited about."

(03/07) SUPREME COMMANDER REVIEW AT GWN - "Supreme Commander is the greatest epic strategy game in the past decade. I make a distinction between intimate and epic strategy games because comparing them is futile and frankly I’m tired of the arguments! Epic strategy games play very differently to intimate strategy games, they feel different and they provide a distinctly different challenge. While in a game like Company of Heroes you can micromanage (which is not a dirty word) small squads of units through detailed maps like Utah Beach in Normandy, Supreme Commander zooms back to a map the size of Utah!"

(03/07) FOXCONN GEFORCE 8800 GTS 320MB REVIEW AT AMDZONE - "The GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB video card is certainly in a very interesting space. The performance benchmarks prove it but the extra memory definitely matters at those high resolutions and high details. However, the people running at those ultra-high resolutions, detail levels, and who refuse to turn off anti-aliasing or edge down the texture memory aren't even likely to consider the 320MB of this card and it isn't for them. If you want everything maxed out at high-resolutions, you will see some performance lost."

(03/07) SAPPHIRE X1050 256MB REVIEW AT VIRTUAL HIDEOUT - "To date I have reviewed just about every Sapphire ATI card that has been released in the last year, from the low end up to the high end cards. Today we are going to look at the new entry level ATI card from Sapphire named X1050. This entry level budget card still uses some of the latest technology, like hardware acceleration of MS Vista 3D environment. ATI Catalyst Control Center and Hydravision on the software end, and DX9.0c and OpenGL on the card offer a lot of control and adjustments of the card's features, like the support for dual monitors. So let's see how well this entry level card can perform."
