VIDEO NEWS AND REVIEWS

(05/03) Asus A7S333 SIS745 review by ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "SUS A7S333 SIS745 review also featuring the Asus KT266A motherboard. Software used for this review is 3dmark 2001 SE, Quake III Arena and Return to Castle Wolfenstein."

(05/03) XFX GeForce FX 5200 review by ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "XFX GeForce FX 5200 review testing the new XFX GeForce FX 5200 against the Gainward GeForce4 MX440. Software used for testing was:- 3dmark 2001 SE, 3dmark 2003, Quake 3 Arena, Serious Sam SE and UT2003."

(05/03) BFGTech 5600 GeForceFX 5200 review by HARD OCP - "We have BFG’s brand new GeForceFX 5600 Ultra in the house. And it carries with it upgraded specifications over the initial GFFX 5600 from NVIDIA. If you are looking for a mainstream enthusiast card you will not want to miss this."

(05/03) MSI FX5600-VTDR128 GeForceFX 5600 review by Bjorn3D - "I’m sure many of you are looking for a reasonably-priced DirectX 9 and OpenGL 2.0 capable graphics card, since games like Doom3 and Tron2 are right around the corner. Those are only a couple of the many games (slated for release later this year), which will be able to take full advantage of an FX-class video card."

(05/03) nVidia GeForceFX 5900 Ultra review by HardwareZone - "NVIDIA was able to launch the GeForce FX 5900 GPU without too much delay because they have multiple teams concurrently working on various projects. As such, they are confident that by June, you would be able to land your hands on GeForce FX 5900-based graphics cards in retail. Here are the detailed specifications for the reference NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra product that we have here in our shoot-out:"

(05/03) AMD Athlon XP 3200+ review by Digit-Life - "Taking into account that the launch of the Athlon XP 3000+ was given a cold reception, the new-comer 3200+ must have had it the same. Especially considering the paragraph below. But do not worry: the second attempt is not that bad, the Athlon XP 3200+ is much better than its predecessor, though there are few changes: the core frequency is jacked up to 2200 MHz (from 2167 MHz, i.e. only by 33MHz), and the bus got 33 MHz more - now it works at 400 MHz (200 MHz DDR). As a result, it looks like the Barton (3000+), only with the core and bus being speedier. However, this is the very quantity-to-quality transition. "

(05/03) XFX GeForceFX 5200 review by Bjorn3D - "When NVIDIA announced the FX family of chips most people were only interested in the high-end chip, the FX5800 Ultra. However – NVIDIA’s strategy was to bring out an entire family of chips – from the low-end to the high-end, all DX9 chips. The GeFORCE FX5200 is NVIDIA’s GF4MX replacement, and today I am taking a look at a card from XFX."

(05/03) Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro review by LegionHardware - "Without any delays the Radeon 9800 Pro has quickly become the high-end successor to the Radeon 9700 Pro. Though it is surprising to find that ATi have simply just tweaked out the current R300 core and given it a higher clock speed resulting in the new R350 chip. The new R350 chip is based on the same 0.15 micron with an eight pipeline configuration, improved Hyper-Z III, improved Z and Color compression algorithms to improve AA performance. Overall the R350 is really just an enhanced R300 chip with higher clock frequencies on both the memory and core."

(05/03) nVidia GeForceFX 5900 Ultra review by Guru3D - "In todays article we are going show you NVIDIA's latest and greatest, the graphics card formerly known as NV35 ... now officially known as GeForceFX 5900 Ultra. I've had this product for about two weeks in my test-lab now, however due to my trip towards the USA the time schedule got messed up a tad. Yes I took the laptop towards the USA and yes I took some results along with me. But the days where long and tiresome. Nonetheless we are going to bring you a nice overview and some good test results of what this product is all about."

(05/03) Soltek 75FRN2-L nForce2 review by HardwareZone - "Fueled by the current interest of all the community readers, we take a look at yet another NVIDIA nForce2 motherboard. It has been a long time since we reviewed any Soltek motherboards and with the nForce2 platform being the current rage for the AMD Athlon XP CPUs, we were more than delighted to receive one for evaluation. The Soltek SL-75FRN2-L we have at hand is among the eight different nForce2 motherboard variants that Soltek have in their inventory. "

(05/03) Tyan Tachyon G9500 Pro review by XBitLabs - "We are going to take a closer look at an ATI RADEON 9500 Pro solution from TYAN - Tachyon G9500 PRO. Tyan seems to have taken care of everything: high quality mounting, well-thought cooling and diagnostics systems, the option to adjust fan rotation speed and more! Need a high-quality gaming solution for not too much money? Then learn more about it now!"

(05/03) AMD Athlon XP Barton 3200+ review by HARD OCP - "Today we cover AMD's new AthlonXP 3200+ processor. This CPU is based on AMD's Barton core technology that debuted not so many months ago. The big announcement that AMD has with the 3200+ is the fact that it now supports a 200MHz Front Side Bus (effectively 400MHz)."

(05/03) AMD Athlon XP Barton 3200+ review by Hexus - "So given the previous pinnacle of the AMD consumer range of XP3000+ at 2167MHz on a 166MHz front side bus frequency, it doesn't take too many smarts to see what AMD's next step would be to keep toe to toe with Intel. And so it comes to pass (I watched LOTR recently), the release today of their latest incremental performance improvement for the Athlon XP range, XP3000+ and XP3200+ on a 200MHz front side bus frequency."

(05/03) nVidia GeForceFX 5900 Ultra review by Tech-Report - "As you can see, the Dustbuster is gone, replaced by an interesting cooler design with a blower and some angled fins. NVIDIA says air flowing over these fins creates a Bernoulli effect to enhance cooling. (I can't wait to see the card lift up and fly across the room in the middle of an intense gaming session.) As you can probably tell by looking, the reference card is about the same dimensions as a typical GeForce4 Ti 4600 card. However, like the GeForce FX 5800 Ultra, the 5900 Ultra will eat up both an AGP slot and an adjacent PCI slot. Frankly, so long as it's not too loud, I'm OK with that. This new design ought to be a big improvement. Owners of Shuttle XPC systems and other small-form-factor PCs may beg to differ, though. The FX 5900 Ultra's extra-wide body won't fit into many of those systems."

(05/03) XFX GeForce4 Ti4400-8X review by Hexus - "Today we're looking at one of the very last GeForce4 series of cards here at Hexus. It's branded by a company that may not be immediately familiar to users. XFX, however, is a division of the Pine Group, a budget component / motherboard producer. XFX will produce a whole host of FX-based cards, so the Ti 4800-SE is a precursor of what's to come. What does it look and perform like ?, is it worth buying ?."

(05/03) Gigabyte Maya II Radeon 9200 review by HardwareZone - "Gigabyte has been eagerly sending us their latest ATI-based graphics card developments for quite sometime now and their latest addition to the MAYA family now is the Gigabyte MAYA II RADEON 9200 VIVO 128MB. As per the product name, it utilizes the new ATI RADEON 9200 GPU. We suggest that you take a close look at the below table to understand where the RADEON 9200 core stands among the myriad of RADEON models and not get misguided by the confusing numbering gimmick they play.
