(05/06) NVIDIA GEFORCE 6600 GT PERFORMANCE REVIEW BY ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "The Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT is one of the most popular video cards Nvidia has ever made and ranks alongside the legendary Geforce4 Ti4200 for offering great performance for your money. In this review we benchmark the Geforce 6600 GT using a fairly large collection of new and old gaming software."

(05/06) NVIDIA GEFORCE 6600 PERFORMANCE REVIEW BY ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "In this review we will be testing the performance of the Nvidia Geforce 6600 using a selection of popular games software. The Nvidia Geforce 6600 is the budget version of the more expensive Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT, differences in speed of the GPU and Memory and lack of SLI capability are the only important differences."

(05/06) WINDOWS VISTA PERFORMANCE REVIEW BY ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "Microsoft Windows Vista Performance rating using the latest beta of Windows Vista testing components."

(05/06) AMD SEMPRON 3400 REVIEW BY ULTIMATE HARDWARE - "The AMD Sempron 3400 Palermo is currently the most powerful Sempron processor available for Socket 754. The AMD Sempron 3400 has all of the main features expected with modern processors such as MMX, 3Dnow, SSE, SSE2, SSE3 and x86-64 support. Unlike the Athlon64 3400 the Sempron 3400 and Athlon64 3000 also have support for SSE3, the only negative aspect of the Sempron 3400 is that it has a 256K L2 Cache unlike the Athlon64."

(05/06) HIS X1800GTO ICEQ3 TURBO REVIEW BY VIPER LAIR - "Around September last year, we had an influx of high performing mid range graphics cards based on ATI R4xx series cores, boxed and labled as X800GT and X800GTO. This was a good thing for all concernced as ATI and the card manufacturers were able to sell on less than perfect GPU's as well as sell on excess stock of X800 series GPU's. These cards were sold at a relatively inexpensive price point but came with a high performance level for that price point. There was also the possibility that lucky card owners could flash the BIOS on their cards to 'unlock' the pixel pipelines on their card and get a full fledged XT or XL."

(05/06) SOCKET AM2: ATHLON64 FX62 X2 5000+ AND NFORCE 500 REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "We have posted our review of the Athlon 64 FX62 and X2 5000+ on the new Socket AM2. We test on the Foxconn and Asus AM2 nForce 590 SLI boards, and test 800MHz and 1066MHz DDR2 memory settings. We also overclock each CPU with stock air cooling."

(05/06) SAPPHIRE RADEON X1900 GT REVIEW BY FIRINGSQUAD - "As its name implies, the Radeon X1900 GT is meant to take on NVIDIA’s current GeForce 7900 GT GPU, which has become an extremely popular seller in the short time it has been out on the market. The GeForce 7900 GT has proven popular with enthusiasts due to its excellent price/performance ratio; unlike the GeForce 7800 GT, which had some of its pixel and vertex shaders reduced, the GeForce 7900 GT runs with the full feature set found in NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce 7900 GTX, only it runs at slower clock speeds. Some enthusiasts have found the GeForce 7900 GT to be an excellent overclocker as well, pushing speeds well in excess of 600MHz, and of course it also doesn’t hurt that the GeForce 7900 GT fits in a single-slot package and generates very little heat."

(05/06) BUDGET VIDEO CARDS BY ATI, NVIDIA AND S3 REVIEW BY TECH REPORT - "While ATI and NVIDIA have successfully massaged their Radeon X1000 and GeForce 7 architectures into more affordable flavors, they're not the only ones duking it out in the budget space. S3 has slowly clawed its way back into the game, and the Chrome S27 is poised to take on the GeForce 7300 GS and Radeon X1300 Pro at the low end. S3 may not have a high-end line from which to borrow technology, but at least on paper, the Chrome S27 looks more potent than the budget offerings from ATI and NVIDIA"

(05/06) ATI RADEON X1800 GTO 256MB REVIEW BY THE TECH LOUNGE - "I assure you, however, that it was not a random drunken decision by an ATI executive to pump new blood into the X1800 line. Last summer NVIDIA launched their 7 series of video cards, first the 7800 GTX, and then the 7800 GT, and until recently, there was no mid-range segment in the new series. On March 9, NVIDIA also launched three new video cards: the 7900 GTX, 7900 GT, and 7600 GT. Perhaps worried that the 7600 GT would kick the X1600 XT’s keister, ATI decided to take action and the X1800 GTO was born."

(05/06) MSI RADEON X1800 GTO 256MB REVIEW BY HARDWARE ZONE - "It's been a pretty rough spring for ATI in the graphics arena. Its Radeon X1800 GTO response to NVIDIA's winning streak of GeForce 7600 and 7900 series have not been entirely convincing. For sure, they still have a strong flagship performer in the Radeon X1900 series but in the mid-range, the prices of the paper-launched and delayed Radeon X1800 GTO have not exactly endeared themselves to the popular masses, a requisite for the more budget conscious mid-range segment."

(05/06) S3 CHROME S27 PCI EXPRESS REVIEW BY PC STATS - "The S3 Chrome S27 PCI Express videocard specs look quite appealing on paper, it has everything a decent graphics accelerator boasts these days; a 90nm manufactured silicon core, eight pixel rendering pipeline, 128MB GDDR3 memory and dual monitor outputs. The unit PCSTATS received for review also included a component output splitter cable, so this compact little PCI Express x16 S3 Chrome S27 videocard can be used in Home Theatre PC's."

(05/06) HIS RADEON X700 AGP REVIEW BY HARDWARE SECRETS - "With VGA manufacturers releasing only PCI Express-based video cards, owners of AGP-based PCs were simply forgotten. Even though you can find quite easily AGP VGAs on the market, AGP users cannot find the latest releases for the AGP platform. And there are a huge crowd out there willing to upgrade their VGA to newer models without having to replace the whole computer. Thinking about this crowd, HIS released an AGP-based Radeon X700, which should satisfy owners of AGP-based PCs that are anxious to see new VGA models being released for this platform."

(05/06) SUPREME COMMANDER PREVIEW BY ACTION TRIP - "No matter how dull the gaming industry gets sometimes, developers and publisher always find some way to replenish particular game genres. We've already witnessed the more or less successful return of high-profile licenses such as Quake, Elder Scrolls and Age of Empires. Roughly a year from now, we should be witnessing the comeback of EA's remarkably popular strategy franchise, Command & Conquer. Next to Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, another promising RTS project is also under way. For the past year or so, Gas Powered Games, the makers of successful games such as Dungeon Siege I and II, have been working on a real-time strategy entitled Supreme Commander."

(05/06) INTEL WOODCREST PROCESSOR PREVIEW BY TECH REPORT - "The star of that lineup, once it arrives, will be the Woodcrest microprocessor based on Intel's new Core microarchitecture, which promises higher performance and lower power consumption than current Netburst-derived Xeons. I recently attended a reviewer's workshop in Portland, Oregon where I got to spend some quality time with a pair of Woodcrest processors on the Bensley platform, and I came away impressed. More importantly, I came away with some benchmark scores we can compare to AMD's Opteron 285."

(05/06) CONNECT3D RADEON X1800 GTO REVIEW BY BONEFIDE REVIEWS - "Today we have Connect3D's new X1800GTO video card in the BFR labs. The X1800GTO, the latest addition to the X1800 family, was launched back in March but only became available to buy in stores just last month. The GTO label is used to identify a card as a budget graphic solution. In the case of this card the X1800GTO is quite similiar to the X1800XL with the only difference being the number of pipelines."

(05/06) BFG GEFORCE 7600 GT 256MB REVIEW BY HARD OCP - "We wanted to find out how ATI’s and NVIDIA’s latest GPUs facilitate high quality gameplay, so we put them to the test in standard and widescreen gaming. A BFGTech GeForce 7600 GT OC vs. ATI Radeon X1800 GTO, you don’t want to miss this!"

(05/06) HIS ICEQ3 X1900 XT 512MB REVIEW BY DIGIT LIFE - "Not long ago we reviewed (several times) production-line cards, based on ATI RADEON X1900 XT/XTX. And I complained that none of the manufacturers found time for customizing this product. All of them buy ready cards from the Canadian vendor, apply their stickers, pack them into their boxes, and sell through their channels."

(05/06) POWERCOLOR RADEON X1900 GT REVIEW BY THE INQUIRER - "We got hold of one of the first Radeon X1900 GT cards available on the market and had a fiddle. ATI just introduced this card based on its R580 core, but with fewer pipes and with adjusted clock speeds. The R580 core is clocked at 575MHz and the card has 256MB of GDDR 3 memory clocked at 1200MHz. The card features 36 Pixel Shaders and eight vertex Shaders. It is limited to twelve pipelines and it can support Avivo, works in Crossfire but you do need a master card to make it work. It launched at €299 price mark, a reasonable price to fight Nvidia's Geforce 7900 GT."

(05/06) ASROCK 939SLI32-ESATA2 ULI M1695 REVIEW BY HARDWARE ZONE - "When ULi first unveiled their M1695 HyperTransport PCI Express Tunnel Chip, we were very impressed with its flexible options to deliver platform solutions from the mainstream to performance. ULi then released their single-chip PCI Express M1697 chipset that was all set to rival NVIDIA's nForce4 SLI in terms of features and performance. Of course, we all know the story of ULi being acquired by NVIDIA not long after, but ULi has since successfully carved a niche for themselves with mainstream players like EPoX, ASRock and even ABIT making ULi-based AMD solutions."

(05/06) AMD SOCKET AM2 3500+ PREVIEW BY TBREAK - "After the phenomenal success of Athlon64, AMD’s upcoming socket AM2 based CPUs are certainly riding on high expectations. From what we know, these CPUs are supposed to be launched at Computex this year which leaves AMD about a month to go. These “new” CPUs are basically the same Athlon64 CPUs that we see and use everyday, except the memory controller has been upgraded to support DDR2."

(05/06) NVIDIA QUAD SLI GEFORCE 7900 GX2 REVIEW BY BIT TECH - "Today Nvidia is unleashing its Quad-SLI cards on the public. Are four GPUs better than two? The results are somewhat surprising, as we discover that NVIDIA's flagship graphics system isn't really ready for the big time yet."

(05/06) ASUS A8R32-MVP DELUXE REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "Asus has improved on overclocking options in the BIOS quite a bit this time around. Their AI overclocking is included, and you can adjust most voltages, and MHz. ATI does not have an overclocking program like nTune, and currently there is no clockgen support for the Xpress 3200. Asus does include their AI Booster utility however. The Xpress 3200 CrossFire chipset cooler is not active, and that could deter overclocking a bit."
