(07/04) Gigabyte GeForcePCX 5750 review by PCStats - "The Gigabyte GV-NX57128D video card is a PCI Express x16 solution that is based on the GeForcePCX 5750 GPU. The blue-PCB card is backed up by 128MB of TSOP-II 3.6ns Samsung DRAM, and it supports S-Video out, DVI and analog connections. The card doesn't require any extra power connectors incidently."

(07/04) AMD Sempron CPU review by TrustedReviews - "Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of talk on various websites about AMD’s new budget processor, and now the Sempron has finally arrived. The speculations behind what the Sempron would be were confusing and didn’t seem to make sense at the time and it’s still not quite clear why AMD has released some of the models. A range of different speed chips were made available at launch starting at 2200+ and going up to 2800+ in even 100+ ratings except for a 2700+ which is missing from the line-up. All of these processors are for the older Socket-A platform and are more or less re-badged Thoroughbred-B core Athlon XPs. The difference is the speed rating, as the 2800+ Sempron has an actual clock speed of 2.0GHz whereas the 2800+ Athlon XP is clocked at 2.083GHz."
(07/04) Gigabyte GeForce 6800 GT review by LegionHardware - "Both ATi and NVIDIA are delivering serious competition for one another with their latest generation of products. What was once known as the NV40, has become a number of high-end products. NVIDIA must cover every possible market segment if they wish to remain the biggest name in the graphics card industry. The end result being three unique NV40 based products; there is also the possibility of a fourth. Currently we have the GeForce 6800, GeForce 6800 GT and GeForce 6800 Ultra. The GeForce 6800 Ultra is NVIDIAs current flagship product designed to take on the ATi Radeon X800XT. However, ATi decided to offer a cut down version of their X800XT which we now know as the X800 Pro. The ATi Radeon X800 Pro is an exceptional product offering extreme performance at a reasonable price."
(07/04) BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra review by HardOCP - "We recently took a look at BFGTech’s GeForce 6800Ultra OC which takes a 6800Ultra and overclocks the core by default. As you can see from the review, this video card is a two slot video card that is air cooled with a heatsink and fan. The BFGTech GeForce 6800Ultra OC overclocks the core from 400MHz to 425MHz. In our overclocking tests of that video card we did manage to achieve a 35MHz increase, getting up to 460MHz completely stable and air cooled."
(07/04) eVGA GeForce 6800 GT review by PCPer - "Since the release of the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series back in April of this year you might have found it difficult to purchase one of these often hyped video cards. My trips to CompUSA and Best Buy retail stores have been less than exciting when it comes to either ATI X800 or NVIDIA 6800 cards, and I am betting the same is true for you where you live. Online e-tailers are really the only ones that gave you a glimmer of hope at getting one, and even then your chances were slim and you were bound to pay way over the manufacturer's retail price suggesiton. Such is life when living on the edge of computing performance."
(07/04) Asus A8V Deluxe VIA K8T800 Pro review by PCStats - " When AMD released the new Socket 939 form factor for its Athlon64 and Athlon64-FX processors, AMD sent out evaluation kits to media around the world. In those kits which would serve as the first introduction for its newest processor, the company included the Asus A8V motherboard. Now, if AMD is comfortable with picky journalists judging its newest multi-million dollar CPU roll-out on an ASUS board, then that certainly underscores something consumers should be taking note of."
(07/04) AMD Sempron 2800+ / 3100+ review by Anandtech - "Today, AMD is introducing a processor to span the market between their long running Socket A platform and the first Athlon 64 platform, the Socket 754. AMD has quite a lot of experience with these two product lines, and it has been very cost-effective for them to reuse pre-existing technology in a new form at a much lower price point than current generation technology. And based heartily in that philosophy, we present the AMD Sempron line of budget processors."
(07/04) Gigabyte Radeon X600 XT review by PCStats - " In any event, we have some new and exciting technology to cover as PCstats.com reviews the PCI-Express x16 Gigabyte GV-RX60X128V videocard. Built around the solid Radeon X600XT core, the Gigabyte GV-RX60X128V offers quick performance figures for a mainstream card, and takes over right where the Radeon 9600XT left off."

(07/04) Sapphire Radeon X800 Pro review by VR-Zone - "But why the new product line, aren't all Radeon X800 Pro graphics cards the same you ask? The fact is that most of the cards currently on the market on both the NVIDIA and ATI front are pretty much the same, using reference design, similar bundles, and performing almost identically to one another. Part of it is frequency specifications on ATI and NVIDIA's part, but another part is that many companies try to cut corners and save costs by just using reference cooling and lackluster bundles in their graphics cards."
(07/04) HIS Radeon X800 Pro review by Rage3D - "Hightech Information System (HIS) has been building a reputation for themselves lately. They've gathered quite a following by producing some of the most sought after products in the industry, particularly receiving a lot of attention for their IceQ line of cards with the Arctic VGA Silencers. Continuing with the success of the original IceQ line, HIS has upped the ante with the Radeon X800 IceQII series of cards."
(07/04) Socket-939 Motherboard roundup by Anandtech - "The Asus A8V Deluxe was not included in the original roundup because Asus told us a new Revision would soon be available. The Asus A8V Deluxe Revision 2.0, with a working AGP/PCI lock, was received a few days ago and has now been added to the roundup. We have included full test results from the Revison 2 A8V and compared it to the other 5 top-end 939 boards in the roundup. DFI has also announced a Socket 939 board based on the nForce3 Ultra chipset, but the retail introduction of that board is still several weeks away."
(07/04) Leadtek GeForce 6800 GT review by Bjorn3D - "The Winfast A400GT TDH I am looking at today does not use the NVIDIA reference cooler, but instead, uses the same cooler they use on the Winfast A400 Ultra TDH. The one thing that some may find as a problem is that this means you have a GeForce 6800 GT taking up two slots, like the GeForce 6800 Ultra does instead of the normal 1-slot solution. Personally, that doesn’t bother me that much since I always make it a habit to leave the slot next to the AGP slot free anyway. What is more interesting to see with this cooler is if it improves the overclocking potential of this card. Read on to find out more."
(07/04) PNY GeForce 6800 GT Video Card review by Elite - "The last couple of years have been a rough time in the graphics card market for nVidia - After a period of sustained, unchallenged dominance, you could argue that their star was bound to fall eventually. And fall it did - After a couple of generations of always being one step ahead of the competition, the graphical giant found itself not only beaten in the timeframe stakes with the release of the Radeon 9700 Pro, but also soundly beaten to the performance crown too as the GeForceFX 5800 Ultra struggled to make any impact. Despite some significant improves in product refreshes (in particular the 5900 and 5700), ATi still held the lead in both the high-end and mid-range markets, and for the first time the Canadian company managed to edge ahead in overall market share."
(07/04) BFG GeForce 6800GT 256MB review by HardOCP - "BFGTech’s GeForce 6800GT OC video card and the gaming experience it can deliver. We compare it to a 6800Ultra and Radeon X800Pro playing FarCry, FlightSim 2004, PainKiller, Nascar Thunder 2004, City of Heroes, and Madden 2004. The GeForce 6800GT may just be the best gaming card for the price."
