(07/05) ECS Elitegroup KN1 Extreme nForce4 Ultra review by HardOCP - "The KN1 Extreme is ECS’s newest motherboard introduction for the Athlon64 line of processors. Centered around the NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra chipset, the board features full support for the entire Athlon64 socket 939 processor line, including the dual processor X2 line, DDR type SDRAM modules operating in Dual Channel mode up to speeds of 400MHz officially, as well as PCI Express x16 based video cards operating in single card mode. The KN1 Extreme was designed to be a feature complete solution, requiring a minimal amount of components for a functioning system: Athlon64 socket 939 based CPU, DDR memory, PCI Express video card, drives, and PSU. The following components are included in the KN1 Extreme’s design: 2 IDE ATA-133 ports and 4 SATA II ports (RAID 0, 1, and 0+1 capable) on the NVIDIA RAID controller; 1 IDE ATA-133 port and 2 SATA 150 ports (RAID 0, 1, and 0+1 capable) on the SIS RAID controller; 10 USB 2.0 capable ports (4 in rear panel, and 3 onboard headers supporting 2 ports each); 2 IEEE 1394 capable ports (2 onboard headers supporting 1 port each); 1 NVIDIA Gigabit Ethernet port in rear panel with integrated hardware Firewall support; 1 Realtek 10/100 Ethernet port in the rear panel; Realtek 6-channel audio codec featuring S/PDIF optical and component output ports; and PS/2 and serial port support in the rear panel."

(07/05) Gigabyte GeForce 7800 GTX review by Bjorn3D - "With the very successful GeForce 6 Series and what will probably be an even more successful 7 Series, NVIDIA is clearly back to doing things right. SLI has made the company king again, at least for a little while. SLI combined with the 7800 GTX is a whole new level of "wow" that we haven't seen before. I think it's getting easier to forget about that 5800 silliness."

(07/05) Crucial Radeon X850 XT 256MB review by Hexus - "ATI is busy putting the final touches to the GPU that it hopes will give NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX a performance headache. That being the case, the fastest ATI card that you can buy right now is the RADEON X850 XT Platinum Edition. The availability of PE cards has been sketchy for a few months now, so the majority of card partners have opted to market the non-PE variant of the R480 design with more gusto. The X850 XT may lack a little core speed and memory bandwidth when compared with the range-topping PE, sure, but it's widely available in the retail channel."

(07/05) MSI GeForce 6800 GT PCIe review by XBitLabs - "We reviewed an excellent graphics solution from MSI based on the GeForce 6800 GT GPU from NVIDIA. Good gaming performance, very rich set of accessories, support of Shader Model 3.0 and floating-point color, and relatively quiet cooling system, will make it a great choice for those gamers who look forward to some new releases."

(07/05) PowerColor Radeon X800 XL 512MB PCIe review by HardwareZone - "As in our review of the Sapphire Hybrid RADEON X800 XL 512MB , the extra 256MB of memory only looks good on paper (for now). More is not necessarily better here and the demands of handling the extra memory ends up slowing down the 512MB card compared to its 256MB peers in the gaming benchmarks we tried. However, like some of NVIDIA's 512MB consumer graphics cards, these cards are meant to tackle the upcoming breed of games that could possible overwhelm existing 256MB graphics cards when high quality settings are used. Should that be the case, the RADEON X800 XL 512MB would most likely have the last laugh since it has a big buffer to accommodate all the extra high quality texture maps and effects buffers."

(07/05) eVGA GeForce 7800 GTX PCIe review by AnandTech - "We are going to be deviating somewhat from past articles where big video card "roundups" were the norm. Instead, this will be the first in a series of articles about cards based on NVIDIA's 7800 GTX. This will help us deal with the headaches that come with getting cards from the manufacturers and testing them all at once. The first in the series is the EVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX, which looks to be an impressive contender."

(07/05) Crucial Radeon X850 XT 256MB PCIe review by 3DVelocity - "At the very top of the Crucial graphics portfolio sits a genuine behemoth of a card, the Radeon X850 XT. Based on the R480 VPU , this chip boasts 160 million transistors and 16 pipelines , 256MB of DDR3, a 520MHz VPU and 540MHz DDR3, or in short, masses of pixel pushing power. Yes we say that with every new generation of graphics chip, but by today's standards this thing really shifts some pixel plastered polygons."

(07/05) ASRock K8 Combo-Z ALi M1689 review by PCPer - "Today we are looking at the ASRock K8 Combo-Z. Like the ASRock K8 Upgrade 760GX board we reviewed not long ago, the K8 Combo-Z touts the ability to support both Socket 754 and Socket 939. But unlike the K8 Upgrade 760GX, the K8 Combo-Z has both sockets onboard! The ASRock K8 Combo-Z is a full size ATX motherboard that uses the ALi M1689 chipset and comes with a decent set of features."

(07/05) HIS Radeon X800 XL review by Viperlair - "The HIS X800XL IceQ turbo 256MB PCIe has an impressive sounding name, and according to the technical specs should provide some impressive results as well. As mentioned above, the XL line of cards is a hybrid, they have slower clock speeds than an X800 Pro, but have a full 16 pixel pipelines as opposed to the 12 found on the X800 Pro. With core speeds just above those of an X800, the X800XL is a mixture of all of the X8xx line from the standard X800 on to X800XT."

(07/05) HIS Radeon X850 XT 256MB review by TweakNews - "The Radeon® X850 series advances High-Definition Gaming with blockbuster features, including SmartShader™ HD , ATI's highly advanced pixel shader engine. With up to 16 parallel pixel pipelines and up to 43 billion shader operations per second, the Radeon® X850 series delivers the power serious gamers need. SmoothVision™ HD combines advanced texture filtering with ATI's revolutionary 3Dc™ image enhancement technology to deliver brilliant image quality without compromising performance. 3Dc™ has quickly become an industry standard for supporting complex, high-definition visual effects in real time."

(07/05) BFG GeForce 7800 GTX review by HardOCP - "The new GeForce 7800 GTX from NVIDIA is a brand new GPU built from the ground up as their second generation Shader Model 3.0 GPU. We covered the technology and performance in several games in great detail with our GeForce 7800 GTX Review. We highly suggest you read through that article first to get a full understanding of what the GeForce 7800 GTX is bringing to the table."

(07/05) XFX GeForce 6800 Ultra 512MB review by Hexus - "NVIDIA's GeForce 6800 Ultra GPU has been usurped by the 7800 GTX as the fastest graphics card in town. Various benchmarks show the latter to be up to twice as fast in both single and SLI'd usage. However, the GeForce 6800 Ultra recently shipped with 512MB of onboard memory. Recent history has taught us that larger framebuffers tend to adopted every 2-3 years, just when games' assets begin to stretch incumbent framebuffers to the limit. "

(07/05) MSI Radeon X850 XT review by PCStats - "In this review PCSTATS is testing the MSI RX850XT-TD256E videocard, which does not feature CrossFire. Based on the Radeon X850 XT, this PCI Express card is backed by 256MB of GDDR3 memory and supports VIVO, TV/S-Video output and component output. The ATi X850 series of GPUs are the current 3D performance leaders and the XT is the second fastest available GPU in the line."
