(08/06) ASUS EN7600GT SILENT REVIEW BY PCSTATS - "Asus has embraced the nVIDIA GeForce 7600GT GPU and released a videocard which is not only ideally suited towards the occasional gamer and even hardcore gamer on a budget, but also doubles up the value by offering 100% silent operation which makes it ideal for home theatre PC's or just anyone who wants a quiet computer."
(08/06) MSI NX7900GT VT2D256E HD REVIEW BY NVNEWS - "The allure of all the raw processing power contained within the GeForce 7900 Series has been growing and growing in me. I've seen what the top-of-the-line from the GeForce 6 Series of cards could do, in both single-card and SLI. I've seen what the mid-range GeForce 7 Series can do, again, in both single-card and SLI. But as good as those graphics cards were, they left me wanting more."
(08/06) ATI RADEON X1950 XTX 512MB REVIEW BY PCPER - "We try to be topical at PC Perspective, but sometimes its hard. While I'd love to have more Core 2 Duo benchmarks for you to gander at, ATI went and threw a wrench in the works by sending along a pair of new GPUs for me test. The R580+, that is now officially known as the X1950 XTX, is a minor upgrade to the existing ATI flagship card that plans on taking away the thunder that NVIDIA has been building over its 7950 GX2 GPU and Quad SLI."
(08/06) ATI RADEON X1950 XTX 512MB REVIEW BY TECHREPORT - "Fortunately, in the world of video cards, remixes actually bring improvements most of the time. They tend to offer more graphics horsepower at lower prices, not just a torrid, syncopated rhythm from a drum sequencer. The new flavors of Radeons range from the X1950 XTX at just under five hundred bucks to the X1300 XT at well under a hundred. In the middle of the pack is a potential gem for PC enthusiasts: a new $279 version of the Radeon X1900 XT that looks to redefine the price-performance equation. Keep reading for the info on ATI's revamped lineup, including our tests of the most appealing cards for enthusiasts."
(08/06) BUDGET GRAPHICS CARDS TESTED BY TWEAKTOWN - "While sometimes forgotten, the budget VGA market is important. We compare a lot of Radeon X1300 and GeForce 7300 cards."
(08/06) ATI RADEON X1950 XTX 512MB REVIEW BY FIRINGSQUAD - "The Radeon X1950 XTX is built on ATI’s new R580+ graphics core. R580+ is largely the same as R580, the chip is still based on TSMC’s 90-nm manufacturing process and sports ATI’s 48-pixel shader architecture, with 8 vertex shaders, 16 texture address units, 16 ROPs and contains 384 million transistors. The one key difference lies in R580+’s memory controller, which has been reworked to support GDDR2, GDDR3, and now GDDR4 memory."
(08/06) ATI RADEON X1950 XTX 512MB REVIEW BY HOTHARDWARE - "At the high-end ATI is announcing the Radeon X1950 XTX and Radeon X1950 XTX CrossFire Edition cards. The new flagship features essentially the same GPU found on the older Radeon X1900 XTX, but the X1950 XTX is the first consumer level graphics card equipped with ultra-fast GDDR4 RAM. The RAM on the Radeon X1950 XTX is actually clocked at 1GHz, for an effective clock speed of 2GHz."
(08/06) ATI RELEASE CATALYST v6.8 DRIVER - "Improved shader compiler and transform engine optimizations have led to many significant performance gains in OpenGL applications across the entire Radeon® X1000 series of products. These include: Doom 3 performance improves as much as 6.5%. Quake 4 (v1.2 or higher) performance improves as much as 18%. Chronicles of Riddick performance improves as much as 20%. Average improvements of 5-10% are commonly seen. Prey performance improves as much as 16%. Call of Duty 2 performance improves as much as 30% on single ATI Radeon® X550 cards or higher with 256MB of video memory at 1280x1024 and higher when anti-aliasing enabled. The largest gains are found on the ATI Radeon® X1800 series and ATI Radeon® X1900 series of products."
(08/06) SAPPHIRE RADEON X1900 XTX 512MB REVIEW BY HARDOCP - "A self-contained liquid cooling system built around an ATI Radeon X1900 XTX GPU? Sapphire has engineered a user friendly liquid cooling system using the fastest ATI GPU overclocked right out of the box. We evaluate performance compared to the competition, heat and overclocking."
(08/06) XFX GEFORCE 7600 GT REVIEW BY XBITLABS - "Nvidia’s main mainstream weapon these days, GeForce 7600 GT graphics accelerator, has already been mentioned in one of our previous reviews devoted to ATI Radeon X1800 GTO performance. Despite the 128-bit memory bus, it demonstrated the level of performance comparable with that of the ATI’s solution, and sometimes was even much faster than the latter. Today we are going to take a real close look at the XFX solution based on this Nvidia chip – XFX GeForce 7600 GT XXX Edition."
(08/06) MSI NX7600GT VT2D256E REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "The NX7600GT is based off of Nvidia's mid-range GeForce 7600GT GPU, which is lower than the 7600 but above the 7300 in their product line. The 7600GT features 12 pixel pipelines, 5 vertex shaders, and sports 256MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 750MHz (1450MHz DDR)."
(08/06) MSI's K9N SLI PLATINUM MOTHERBOARD REVIEW BY TECHREPORT - "NVIDIA'S NFORCE 590 SLI got all the attention when AMD launched its new AM2 platform, and for good reason. The chipset is packed to the gills with more PCI Express lanes, Serial ATA ports, integrated Gigabit Ethernet controllers, and fancy buzzwords than any other core logic solution for the Athlon 64. It's not alone, though. Nvidia launched a full line of nForce 500 series chipsets to accompany Socket AM2, and although the nForce 590 SLI is the flagship, its little brother, the nForce 570 SLI, may ultimately be more appealing."
(08/06) ASROCK AM2V890-VSTA VIA K8T890 SOCKET AM2 MOTHERBOARD REVIEW BY PCSTATS - "The ASRock AM2V890-VSTA Socket AM2 motherboard is the first motherboard to cross PCSTATS' test bench based on the VIA K8T890 chipset. This compact ATX motherboard has four 240 pin DDR2 memory slots which accommodate up to 8GB of DDR-2 memory (more when higher density DDR2 memory is released). Among the list of standard features on the motherboard are 7.1 channel high definition audio, an integrated 10/100 network card, and a variety of other ports and jacks."
(08/06) ATI RELEASE CATALYST v6.7 DRIVER - "ENHANCED CROSSFIRE™ SUPPORT - This release of Catalyst® introduces Enhanced CrossFire™ Support. The enhanced support allows for CrossFire™ Alternate Frame Rendering mode for Direct3D applications to be forced on by setting the Catalyst® AI slider to the Advanced position. This enhancement is available for all Direct3D applications except for Direct3D applications known not to work with Alternate Frame Rendering."
(08/06) ASUS EN7600GT SILENT REVIEW BY AMDZONE - "Asus boasts that the EN7600GT Silent features their Silent Cool 2 technology, the second generation of their passive cooling. Nothing too drastic seems to have changed from their previous silent solutions though. The card has two large heatsinks on it, one on the front covering the GPU and the other on the back. Heat is transferred from the heatsinks via a heatpipe to another even larger heatsink that is positioned directly above the video card. This larger heatsink on top can be swiveled and moved directly over the area of the CPU's fan to provide better cooling. Although we didn't experience any problems and most won't, the heatsink on top is rather large and extends out almost two inches and with a height of another inch above the card."
(08/06) MSI NX 7600 GT VT2D256E REVIEW BY HARDOCP - "We have a MSI NX7600 GT VT2D256E with 256 MB of GDDR3 on the workbench, compared against the ATI Radeon X1800 GTO, also with 256 MB of GDDR3. Neither card will break the bank, but which is the better buy?"
(08/06) MSI NX 7900 GT REVIEW BY PCSTATS - "The MSI NX7900GT-VT2D256E-HD videocard is backed up by 256MB of high speed GDDR3 memory. The videocard supports a whole host of TV output options including S-Video, Composite, Component output (Y, Pb, Pr) and the NX7900GT-VT2D256E-HD is also HDMI compatible if a DVI-to-HDMI cable is used. The videocard supports video input as well, which truly makes the MSI NX7900GT-VT256E-HD one of the best multimedia cards around on paper. We'll have to wait until the benchmarks have had a chance to speak before we decide for ourselves of course."
(08/06) SAPPHIRE RADEON X1900 GT REVIEW BY HOT HARDWARE - "Every couple of months NVIDIA and ATI typically duke it out to create the fastest card possible. This results in the highest-end cards coming out first, which are then followed by the more mainstream variants. This is where we find the Sapphire Radeon X1900 GT, a card based on the powerful R580 core, but clocked down to bring the price to a more acceptable level. The X1900 GT also has 12 shader units and 4 ROPs disabled for a total of 36 and 12, respectively. And as we've just mentioned, its GPU core and memory frequencies are reduced to 575/600MHz (an XTX is rated at 650/775MHz and an XT at 625/725MHz)."
