(12/04) MSI GeForce 6600 GT PCIe review by HardwareZone - "Days after SLI was publicly announced, NVIDIA hinted its next version of Media Communication Processors (MCPs) would include support for SLI technology. True enough, the nForce4 MCPs were launched recently and basically built upon the foundation of the nForce3 Ultra, but this time it supports the PCI Express I/O interface. There are currently three variations of this new MCP:- NVIDIA nForce4, NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra and NVIDIA nForce4 SLI. The basic nForce4 was designed for regular Athlon 64 Socket-939 systems with a PCIe I/O subsystem. The nForce4 Ultra and nForce4 SLI are geared towards enthusiasts with more advanced features like advanced network security with NVIDIA ActiveArmor and equipped for upcoming technologies such as SATA II."

(12/04) Gigabyte GeForce 6600 GT review by FiringSquad - "While we’d love to see a card armed with two GeForce 6800 Ultra chips, Gigabyte instead chose to use a pair of GeForce 6600 GT processors for the 3D1. That’s an understandable decision since the cost and complexity of two 6800 Ultra or 6800 GT GPUs on one board certainly would have been prohibitive. Nevertheless, representatives at Gigabyte acknowledge that other dual-chip boards are currently in development and may realize retail availability."

(12/04) Gigabyte GeForce 6800 review by Bjorn3D - "Gigabyte was kind enough to supply Bjorn3D with its PCI Express 6600 GT video card. The GV-NX66T128D is a standard 6600 GT offering with no obvious deviation from the reference design. However, Gigabyte does offer two games that were released this year in its bundle. They are Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Also worth noting, Gigabyte includes an adapter to use the 6600 GT to output HD resolutions to an HDTV or a home theater receiver with component video inputs. This should really appeal to people thinking about setting up a home theater PC with a PCI Express video card."

(12/04) Foxconn 925A01-8EKRS2 i925X review by XBitLabs - "This review is our first introduction to Foxconn products. This company is a well-known mainboard and components contract manufacturer and this year they are entering the retail market. We took a really close look at two products from this manufacturer designed for Intel LGA775 platform."

(12/04) ATi Radeon X800 XL review by Techreport - "Little did we know what ATI really had in store for the Radeon X800 XL. We tested this sixteen-pipe card against no less than twelve different competing configs, and it came out looking pretty good. Then ATI lowered the boom, unexpectedly slapping a lower price tag on this puppy right before its launch. Keep reading to find out about the Radeon X800 XL's killer combo of value and performance."

(12/04) SiS 755FX Chipset review by Anandtech - "About a year ago, we were very impressed with the introduction of the SiS 755 chipset. In fact, we were so impressed that we awarded our Editor's Choice for Best Athlon 64 chipset to SiS in SiS755 Reference Board: Athlon64 from SiS. We fully expected that many of the major motherboard manufacturers would be producing boards based on the SiS 755, but that never happened. In the end, only 2 SiS 755 motherboards made it to the AnandTech labs - an ECS and a Foxconn. Both were capable budget motherboards, but neither packed the kind of enthusiast features we hoped that we would see with the 755 chipset."

(12/04) Gigabyte GeForce 6200 review by LegionHardware - "There are currently two GeForce 6200 products that have been announced thus far. The first is simply the GeForce 6200 and will be the focus point of todays review. The other is called the GeForce 6200TC (Turbo Cache) and works a little differently to the conventional graphics card. The GeForce 6200TC uses the bi-directional bandwidth that is supported by PCI Express. This means the graphics card can render to the system memory rather than the onboard memory. NVIDIA claims this will not only boost performance, but greatly reduce to cost of the product as it will not require memory chips."

(12/04) Asus K8N-E Deluxe nForce3 250Gb review by Motherboards.org - "When the Athlon64 was introduced, Asus, as always, introduced the first Socket 940 board based on the nForce3 chipset. As for Sockets 754 and 939, Asus was a bit late into the game. The Socket 754 board is based on the nForce3 250GB while the Socket 939 is based on the VIA K8T800 Pro. What they really should do is offer both sockets with both chipsets to provide better options for their customers. Anyway, the board reviewed today is the Asus K8N-E motherboard based on the nForce3 250GB chipset, the only Socket 754 solution from Asus. The board has a lot to offer the would be user so follow along as we look deeper into the K8N-E."

(12/04) Intel i915 Motherboard roundup by Anandtech - "The new 775 processors just weren't any faster than the Socket 478 CPUs most owned already. So for the same performance, users would need a new processor on a new motherboard, new DDR2 memory, a new heatsink/fan, a new PCI Express video card to replace their AGP video card, and (most likely) a new power supply with a 24-pin power connector. For this, they get about the same performance with a hotter-running 90nm CPU that has developed a reputation for throttling unless the HSF and thermal compound is exactly right. Unless manufacturers found ways around the design issues with 925X/915, buyers also found that they were moving from the best overclocking platform in the Socket 478 to a limited OC solution in Socket T. Fortunately, many manufacturers found ways around this issue."

(12/04) Gigabyte 8TRX330-L ATi RX330 review by TechwareLabs - "ATI has produced the RX330 chipset to compete in this market. Though Intel is very seasoned in this area, ATI has developed a pretty competitive board in this arena. The 8TRX330-L board has some nice features such as dual SATA support with RAID, Dual channel 400+ DDR, 8X AGP, and six channel audio. Most of these features you will find other motherboards of the same caliber. The board specs are as follows."

(12/04) ATi Radeon Xpress 200G Chipset review by TrustedReviews - "ATI has shied away from AMD based motherboard chipsets for a while, but the recent launch of the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset, that’s about to change. This is also ATI’s first attempt at a PCI Express chipset, so there’s a fair bit to talk about. To be honest, ATI has managed to put together quite a tempting package with the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset, for just about anyone considering an Athlon 64 or Sempron Socket 754 processor based machine. There are two different versions of the Xpress 200 chipset available, the P and the G, with the G being the one on review here. The P version doesn’t feature the integrated graphics of the G and to be honest, this is no great loss as you’ll see from our performance numbers."

(12/04) Leadtek GeForce 6800 Ultra review by nVNews - "The A400 Ultra TDH is manufactured, marketed and sold by Leadtek, one of NVIDIA's Taiwan-based partners. Leadtek is one of the few manufacturers that have remained exclusively NVIDIA. Immediately you will notice unorthodox cooling solution that the A400 Ultra TDH utilizes. This setup is known as "Air Surround" and is a nice departure from the reference cooling solutions that other manufacturers use."

(12/04) ASRock K8 Combo-Z/ASR ALi M1689 review by PCStats - "Today PCStats will be testing new the ASRock K8 Combo-Z/ASR motherboard. This could be the perfect board for those of you who want to go Athlon64 on the cheap, but don't want to be stuck without an upgrade path to newer socket 939 processors. Based on the ALi M1689 chipset which we'll cover in more detail later in the review, the K8 Combo-Z/ASR can be used with both Socket 754 and Socket 939 Athlon processors!"

(12/04) Inno3D GeForce 6600 GT PCIe review by Guru3D - "I'll admit it right away, you can't go wrong with any GeForce 6600 GT, it offers so much fun and gameplay for its money. You'll have very respectable frame rates, all the nifty technology features, the capability in a later date to upgrade to SLI and double your performance and so on. The sample we are testing today is based on NVIDIA's GeForce 6600 GT. It uses 128 MB (128-bit) GDDR3 memory, 500 MHz graphics core, 1000 MHz memory frequency. With its 8 pixel rendering pipelines and a PCI-Express interface it'll get your freak on :)"

(12/04) ATi Radeon X850 XT PE PCIe review by DriverHeaven - "The X850 is an evolution of the R423 (X800) gpu and is a native PCI-Express part. As it is based on the R423 the same feature set such as Shader Model 2, geometry instancing and 3Dc support is present. Where the product differs is in 2 main areas. Firstly the X850 has a new cooling/thermal management design which aims to cool the GPU and memory more efficiently than the X800 Cooler/design. Secondly the X850 GPU is manufactured on a now refined .13 micron process allowing for further increased core speeds. On the pipeline front we have 16 pixel pipelines with 6 vertex pipelines. These combined with a core speed of 540mhz and memory of 590mhz give us what should be a very fast product."
