Intel Core i3 2100 is clocked at 3.1Ghz with a large Level 3 Cache of 3MB. Intel Core i3 2100 might only be Dual Core but it uses Hyper Threading which adds to Logical Cores which makes Intel Core i3 2100 very near to being a Quad Core Processor."
"Intel Core i3 2100 has some advanced Energy Saving Features to keep Intel Core i3 2100 with a a max TDP of only 65 Watts. Intel Core i3 2100 uses the 32nm Process which makes Intel Core i3 2100 Operate cool and use less Power."
"Intel Core i3 2100 is a very fast CPU operating at 3.1Ghz with 2 x 256 Level 2 Cache and 3MB L3 Cache which greatly helps performance. Intel Core i3 2100 uses Intel Hyper Threading Technology, Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) and many more Advanced Technology."
"Intel Hyper Threading Technology - Intel Hyper Threading Technology (Intel HT Technology) uses processor resources more efficiently, enabling multiple threads to run on each core. Intel HT Technology increases processor throughput, improving overall performance on threaded software. Intel HT Technology is available on Previous Generation Intel Core processors, 2nd generation Intel Core processor family, and Intel Xeon processor family. An Intel processor and chipset combined with an OS and BIOS supporting Intel HT Technology allows you to: Run demanding applications simultaneously while maintaining system responsiveness. Keep systems more secure, efficient, and manageable while minimizing impact on productivity. Provide headroom for future business growth and new solution capabilities."
"Virtualization - Increasing manageability, security, and flexibility in IT environments, virtualization technologies like hardware-assisted Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) combined with software-based virtualization solutions provide maximum system utilization by consolidating multiple environments into a single server or PC. By abstracting the software away from the underlying hardware, a world of new usage models opens up that reduce costs, increase management efficiency, strengthen security, while making your computing infrastructure more resilient in the event of a disaster."
"Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology - An advanced means of enabling very high performance while also meeting the power-conservation needs of mobile systems. conventional Intel SpeedStep Technology switches both voltage and frequency in tandem between high and low levels in response to processor load. Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology builds upon that architecture using design strategies that include the following: Separation between voltage and frequency changes. By stepping voltage up and down in small increments separately from frequency changes, the processor is able to reduce periods of system unavailability (which occur during frequency change). Thus, the system is able to transition between voltage and frequency states more often, providing improved power/performance balance. Clock partitioning and recovery. The bus clock continues running during state transition, even when the core clock and phase-locked loop are stopped, which allows logic to remain active."
