The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic faces extreme competition from the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme which has DX11 and 1440 Shader Processors. FINAL RESULTCOMMENT - "Although the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic was not going to actually beat the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme I was surprised by how close in performance the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic came to the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme has some major strengths such as the 1440 Shader Processors which was superior to the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic with it's 336 Shader Processors. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic also has some strengths such as excellent Tessellation performance and Physx. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic keeps the Fan at 30% which keeps the GPU at a modest 39c and keeps the noise at a low level. Earlier versions of the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic were noisier than the later versions which we are using for this review of the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic is a very good video card, offering all of the latest Nvidia Technology, operates at a low level of noise and temperature. If you want state of the art gaming at a budget then the Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic is the one to get." |
